Why must I maintain an online version of my real life self? I don't see the necessity.

my 2024 5x5
Today
I want to master drawing sheep and goats (so I can draw a character sheet for Aristocles)
Another drawing from 2 years ago - slowly combing through my backlog.
happy holidays!
(my website has falling snowflakes)
By the way, the song I was listening to here was "By This River" by Brian Eno :-)
This frozen river
His main form is actually humanoid but he can shift to better explore the wilderness - I have yet to draw his humanoid form
he collects souls :)
I may end up drawing a profile view of aristocles's head (btw this is aristocles)
updated the logo for my website -- not super happy with it, but I'm not sure what I want it to be instead
Waiting for more people in mutuals with on Twitter to migrate to bluesky
More of my works from the previous years - I will be uploading these on my website as well. Currently thinking about migrating to sourcehut...
On another note, I would like to keep my domain until I die
Not that creation creates meaning
It feels like I have not reached a point where I am greater than the sum of my parts (the tools I use, the art I enjoy and am inspired by)
I want to create something meaningful enough
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg?????????
where else you can find me (trying my best to streamline my socials...):
Interesting...................... That's really odd and shouldn't be happening
The ring/notification volume may have been all the way down, but the media volume may have been all the way up
Pennsylvania looks nice iced over
Always fighting between wanting to engage in large social media movements, and keeping my ground with the spaces that I'm comfortable in
Doesn't help when I don't have a presence, but do I really need one?
I should update my about page with my mastodon
Being separated into twitter, bluesky and mastodon does get a little unwieldy, but I will be streamlining and reorganizing my social media usage soon.
Speaking of, here's a cool gate I came across a year ago
I don't have much to contribute to the wide and vast online world but I will try and carve out a place for myself that isn't fully under my control
The website doesn't look as nice on mobile, but I will be implementing a more mobile friendly site soon!
