I tried to solve an extra hard Sudoku yesterday, spent like an hour on it, page filled with notes, got like 90% done only to find out I made a mistake somewhere and half of the numbers are wrong.
That was NOT fun. Not recommended.

You ever notice in Star Trek, the computers just work. You never see Geordi try to open his messages and it gives an authentication error and he has to spend an hour on a chat with IT support trying to get his emails to work

Have you ever heard of the Zabrucky Machine? It's a famous prop that made it into over 100 Sci Fi shows. In Airplane 2, William Shatner is making fun of how it doesn't seem to have any function. It shows up in several Star Trek episodes. TNG. Voyager.
There, I solved it after looking up the final algorithms online. Not too bad. It definitely takes a while to solve.

By the way, you can still find legacy versions of FCE Ultra on Zophars Domain in the emulator section.
It's NES Pac Man, I can't remember which version. The ghosts were changed to business men in suits. The level layout is also slightly changed, although the gameplay is essentially the same.
I found a copy of FCE Ultra 0.98 on an old computer, and also the first game hack I ever worked on. This was the first emulator I saw that had a debugger, would have been around 2007-2008, and this was my first attempt at NES programming.
nesdev programming is like having a bug, looking at the code, looks fine, running through a debugger, it seems fine, rewrite, still bug, spending an hour reading technical documentation, you understand it fine. go to sleep. next day realize some unrelated code in another file was the overwriting it.
My youngest son (9) just solved the Master Pyraminx that he got for Christmas. Wow, Awesome dude! #rubiks
The Megaminx is harder than expected. The internet says this should be slightly harder to solve than a 3x3. But... after a week, I can only get it about 70% solved (I haven't looked for a tutorial or algorithm guide yet)
