Ashly Burch absolutely destroyed, she was great as Chloe in LiS (and a ton of other roles) but her Aloy is just something else entirely.

What a terrible day to be able to read / to have eyes / to exist / etc. ๐๐๐
Probably the right choice, still sucks though :(
If someone were to start a class action against AWS for PTSD from that status page, they'd reach the required number of parties in minutes
The fact they did ack it on the status page is how you know it's _bad_ bad.
#hugops to all the people having to respond to this tirefire
I've already seen a number of "well ackshually!" comments and like sure, in an ideal world, but what way AWS goes so does the internet.
The game is so so so fucking good, probably my GotY last year. I got to talk with Billy at PAX and he was the absolute sweetest too.
Not saying that movies should seek to traumatize kids, but Iโm pretty sure watching that scene solidified empathy into my heart.
On one hand: the dedication is nice to see I guess, on the other hand: lol

Cover for the "Greatest Hits" version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for the PlayStation. Photo on the cover is a fish-eye lens distorted view of Tony doing a grab trick at the top of a half pipe.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater defined my youth and the music in the games helped shape me into the adult I am today. Goldfinger - Superman got me into Ska and helped me fall in love with jazz. RATM - Guerilla Radio made me question authority and become an anti-capitalist. etc etc etc. What are your favs?
goddammit link
Baby's on Fire is a favorite, the song is fine, but the first half of the video is just a sketch / background story and it's so weird and uncomfortable and that elevates it. Absolutely performance art.
People thinking he sucks and thinking he doesn't deserve threats of rape or other bodily harm can exist in the same space. None of which makes him a hero, he's only ever stood up for himself and this is just another case of that
Facts / timeline:
1) Will is a prolific poster, gets dragged for bad takes regularly.
2) Grok threatens to rape Will.
3) Most of the people who drag Will are like "yo wtf"
"Puts in the time:" u fookin wat m8?
Mr Rogers told us to "look for the helpers", and she's one of the best.
The only thing Will Stancil is winning is that at the end of the day most of us hate Musk / X / whatever more than we dislike him and his shitty takes.
This whole mess has been illuminating.
either way, stay safe friend.
Scrolling the thread is absolutely incredible.
I'm seeing him in August and I'm so excited to both a) support his work, and b) laugh until I cry.
It really feels like he's in a league of his own.
I do wonder if (in hindsight) part of why a lot of us wanted him was because our subconscious realized he wasnโt a weirdo sex fiend.
One of the most frustrating things about this is that it's antithetical to what Khan Academy seemed to be founded on, and once the respect is gone... welp?
"Make information free and accessible" = Hell Yeah!
"Make imagined info from our AI partners available for a low cost" = What. The. Fuck.
Ugh
There are moments (un-skippable) where I wish he had an editor, but as an overall thing I'm really really glad he doesn't.
Goddamn.
Pimp Trickle
Prick Limpet
Sage, I just fucking can't...
I've liked Adam's work / comedy in the past, but this is beyond disappointing.
I'll maybe give some grace for if they get scheduled on a third party panel with one of these chuds, but being a guest (or guesting them) directly is platforming plain and simple. Ugh.
