We celebrated another great SABR Day with the Chicago and Milwaukee chapters today. I even (finally) grabbed a Brat Stop t-shirt. Bring on baseball season. ⚾

I didn’t think we were really going to play when the idea was floated on Thursday. Sure enough, we did.

Thanks! I’ll admit that the stadium was heavily renovated since 1924. I was bummed that there wasn’t some sort of historical marker on the premises. At least none that were visible on the exterior.
While writing Bud Clancy’s SABR bio (link included), I learned about the 1924 World Tour with the Chicago White Sox and New York Giants. Today I visited the site of the final three games of that series. This is Colombes Stadium (officially known as Stade Yves-du-Manoir). sabr.org/bioproj/pers...
