If the NFL canβt determine whether an official is competent after three seasons and roughly 50 games, what exactly is the officiating department doing??

I forget who first coined it but βthe revolt of the bossesβ sums it up perfectly
the power that labor held in the remote work era was existentially terrifying to them and every move they have made since has been designed to crush it and instill fear across the workforce

For everyone going on in the world, I will say itβs fun to be back on an app for sports.
That was a very Packers loss. Next year!
Al Michaels: βWho could have predicted this at halftime?β
literally every Packers fan watching this game
McManus is a terrible kicker, but at least heβs also a terrible person
This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.
'A House of Dynamite' but it's your uncles trying to deep fry a turkey.

Happy May 1st. The value of your labor belongs to you and the actions of the state are best understood as as a coordinated effort to distract you from this. The state fears an organized and unified proletariat like it fears death and rightly so. Power to the workers and power to the people
Speaking of archives, were you ever able to dig up any clips of James Earl Jones's recordings for the CPSC hotline?

A sad day. I return to Pope Francis' 2017 address to Italian trade unionists often, especially his call for unions to be both a prophetic voice in society, and vigilant watchmen at the walls of the city of work. www.vatican.va/content/fran...
Thatβs what is known as a bargaining unit status (BUS) code. It identifies whether or not someone is *eligible* to be in a union, not whether they actually pay dues and are union members. 8888 = management, 7777 = eligible but no union exists, any other 4-digit number = bargaining unit ID
Fantastic turnout in DC today. Federal workers are here to stay!
"First they are coming for the federal unionsβthe lowest hanging fruit, the most bureaucratic unions, the ones barred from striking. Then they will proceed to come for all public sector unions. Then they will come for private sector unions." www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/they-are-g...

Fun fact: if a cardinal named βin pectoreβ is not revealed before the death of the Pope, his claim to be a cardinal expires. So Benitez was not eligible to participate in the conclave.

Civil rights leader and trade unionist A Philip Randolph, seated unsmiling in a suit coat, shirt, and tie.
At the banquet table of nature, there are no reserved seats. You get what you can take, and you keep what you can hold. If you can't take anything, you won't get anything, and if you can't hold anything, you won't keep anything. And you can't take anything without organization. - A. Philip Randolph
