Liberal here.
I don't remember thinking any of that shit
the only Pre-Nazi Musk pitch I was ever interested in was that we should replace gas cars with electric cars, and that market forces are a much surer bet to get it done than the government.
That pitch was and still is correct.

You’ve already put WAAAAAY more thought into this poll than the people designing it did.
I mean, “sanctuary cities?” Really?
Friggin amateur hour 🤣

That the MAGA term “sanctuary cities” was used in a question tells me all I need to know about this “poll.”

I wouldn't even care about this if it was $2.5M.
2500 vehicles at ≈ $80k a pop, we're talking $200M.
Signed off by Noem's former political director/swamp creature Madison Sheahan. Probably no-bid. Bunch of crooks.

The academic world isn't immune to Parkinson's Law or Norton's Law, therefore any use of AI will eventually require the use of AI *ALL* the time, by *EVERYONE*.
I still remember when computers were going to automate/simplify our lives 😂

I mean, LOAC is a multinational field, & care in target discrimination is a spectrum that correlates with other factors, therefore negligent TD = not remotely on the same level as deliberately targeting civilians.
What I’m more concerned with are reports that AI provided obsolete target data

No way. I was a USAF musician for 24 years & I did a number of tattoos exactly like the one in Sri Lanka (in fact I might have worked with the Iranian Navy Band, can't remember).
We don't fly planes, they don't crew boats (except emergencies).
When deployed we carry M16s on base & that's it.

...compel the Navy unit to depart, given that Iran was then at war?
- last is the most ridiculous: the idea that musicians were crewing the boat. Military musicians *never* crew boats. They are passengers.

If all of your assumptions are true, you *MAY* have a point.
Problem is, you're making a hell of a lot of assumptions. Questions you are waving your hands at:
- Was the ship already docked & band already performing at the tattoo when the U.S. declared war?
- Did Sri Lanka...

I mean but what does "party line" mean tho. If "party line" means the best attempt to coalesce the known will of constituents, naturally it's going to sound middling and I don't understand why it's "bad."
I'm generally tired of conclusions about people's' motives based on assumptions

In a war conducted under legal authority, absolutely true.
In a war that expressly violates domestic and international law per se, nope.

Though Wasserman had *personal* preferences in the 2016 primary, she didn't *officially* transition the office per bylaws until she she deemed HRC mathematically won.
One can criticize whether it was too soon, but in either case I don't consider 2016 to be "recent," esp. since DWS is long gone.

The key is to start from the premise that Kristi Noem only lies and is only motivated by self-gain & self-aggrandizement.
Then everything makes perfect sense.

As I'm watching CSPAN, Donald Trump seriously just called in to public forum at 9:51 am CST pretending to be a caller named "JOHN BARRON from Virginia".....
The host cut him off and switched callers, AS THEY SHOULD. I paused and rewound to record it, I could hardly believe what I heard. What a tool
