With the announcement, #AFCToronto are now up to 20 players heading into the off-season, keeping most of their core together as they look to avenge their loss to Vancouver in the final.
Big votes for the likes of Cota-Yarde and Stratigakis, too, who won spots in the XI mid-year.

Top among them: contract extensions for young stars Kaylee Hunter and Nikayla Small through 2027, keeping them with the club through the next two seasons.

A big surprise appearance at Inter Torontoβs brand launch: 2022 #CanPL MVP Ollie Bassett is in the house.
Bassett says the discussions with Mauro EustΓ‘quio and then-York United began back in September when it βbecame clearβ he would be a free agent at the end of the season.
Removed/rephrased for clarity β fwiw, it was more a comment on its irony being around the corner from the venue, given some of the anti-rebrand points raised by the NCSG.
The Northern Corridor SG also making their presence known tonight, setting up outside the entrance to the venue:

A graphic titled "A STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD" with a faded Red River Rising logo in the background. The text reads: "On behalf of the Red River Rising board, we are deeply saddened by the announcement today. When RRR was established in 2018, our vision was to be unmistakable in our identity at the stadium and in the community. To leave a positive and lasting impression before, during, and after games. To be a driving force behind the team. To grow the game of soccer in Winnipeg. As this chapter with Valour closes, we will take the next steps in determining our path forward as a community. We will take time to reflect on our successes, failures and all the wonderful memories from the last seven years. As Valour supporters, we are nothing if not resilient. We will rise together."
