Twitter post from Lindsey Shmindsey (@shminsington) that says:

Throwback to that time I composed a magnet poem about werewolves and it was the deepest shit I ever wrote.

With a picture of a magnet poem on a fridge that says:

moon drunk monster
beautiful and strange
howl your melancholy question
and tell me
which you dread more
the echo or the answer

This poem is so beautiful.

Peirce Island in New Hampshire was positively overflowing with nudibranchs last week. The fisheye lens really shows off the abundance of hydroids (nudi food!) and great visibility.

Last night, lanky, jug-eared, 1960s singer/performer Lance Percival made his way into my dream, unbidden, but I could not remember his surname. I came up with something stupid that satisfied dream-me (β€œHarbottle”) but eventually forced myself to wake up to find the answer. Dreams are weird, man.

Life Hack:

I was on the phone w/ an AI customer service agent that was insisting: (a) it couldn't fix the error the company had made, and (b) no live person could speak w/ me.

I then said I'd file a complaint w/ my state's consumer protection office, and I was connected to a human in <1 minute.

Dry cat food came into UK in late 70s apparently

11.03.2026 18:58 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Would someone in Devon in 1962 have called dry cat food β€œkibble”? Did we even have dry cat food in the UK back then? (I can only remember tins of wet food at the time). Another snag my mind has caught on in a novel. OED has it as used for dog food from 1965 (patented in 1931). So seems unlikely.

Daily Mail Headline: Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam

Oh boy! What a headline...

Ask yourself:

"What am I being asked to believe?"

"Who am I being told to blame?"

Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.

Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...🧡
