I'm also 60% through the Notion Consultant training requirements. I'm not aiming to be a system admin, but I am already an extremely advanced Notion user - and I'm going to explore more and more ways that I can bring templates, and extra value to the people I work with.
Introducing a new lightweight product "Session Stacks"
Essentially this is a "power hour" where you can talk to me about anything you are facing challenges with (within a particular focus) i.e. branding, marketing, AI , technology, data.
November is here - and so is a whole new energy.
Hereβs what Iβm focusing on:
Introducing my Thread AI Coaching Sprints to the market.
These are 6-week intensive sprints where marketers, creators, and founders build personalised AI-enabled workflows that transform how they work.
β Detox & Soak
I don't normally need a long one. Sometimes it's a shower. Sometimes it's a bath. But one thing always - no screens allowed. The creative process needs the negativity to melt away. So let it. Maybe a chilled out playlist though.
β Read & Tea
My kindle is the only exception to the above rule - and even then, a book is better than a kindle. Look out for inspiration! And pair with tea. Big fan of Teapigs Jasmine Pearls tea for this.
β Write for yourself for 10mins
Write 10 hooks that make you smile. Even if they are unusable (for now, you'll find a way).
My favourite unhinged one in my last effort was: "O K Ahhhhh" (a relaxing bath soap for marketers)
Ever get writer's block? Or just that dawning sense of dread that everything you've thought up to date is entirely done, and unoriginal, and that in fact, you might the least creative person to walk the planet?
No yeah, me neither. π
Here are three things I do when I'm out of ideas (β)
EVENING PEACE: NUTRITION (AS REST & MEDITATION) π₯
An area of life we don't talk about much on Linkedin - but has been an area of growth for me, is living a healthier diet, that supports my intake of protein, fibre and healthy fats - and makes me excited to cook!
( One such tip; if you can with your AI, use a voice transcriber. Interacting with it in your spoken mannerism, will teach it your voice far more than anything else you can do!)
WORKDAYS: CONNECTION β€οΈ
A lot of my best moments this year have come from connecting with others and sharing knowledge. In particular, I'm going to take time to note down the frameworks, and value I'm seeing so I can also share things back. I want to become a source of reciprocal knowledge sharing.
MORNING SHIFT: ACTIVITY πΏ
Creatine & gym combo in the morning. I'm new to creatine, but it really boosts my inclination to get moving, & the gym down the road is seeing more of me than it used to as a result, but this is capitalising on what has largely been an active summer (without a gym sub).
I really felt the chill winds of winter today! I guess the new season is really here isn't it? With that in mind, I thought i'd share what i'm doing to capture my days.[a thread]
1) MORNING SHIFT: ACTIVITY πΏ
2) WORKDAYS: CONNECTION β€οΈ
3) EVENING PEACE: NUTRITION (AS REST & MEDITATION) π₯
A note app screenshot. It reads: Sometimes I look at my dog, and think "you silly thing, you have no idea". Other times though... I swear she understands *everything*.
I know a lot of things.
But I dont have a grip on this.
I think the best #font on the Internet might be Brother1816 and I need someone who cares to show me a fantastic alternative
A beautiful new wood desktop sits upon the user's pre-existing standing desk legs. Complete with an underside mounted power strip, cable trays, and drawer - this desk has it all. On top of it is an ultra wide monitor and his connected laptop.
New desk complete. Proud to have sourced the desktops and shelf from an independent business in Kent, who were amazing. Ready to build my business.
An empty office with nothing but some motorised standingdesk legs missing the desktop, in a triangular empty clean room. To the left sits a bottle of multi purpose cleaning solution.
Revamping my office as I embrace my #pathless era.
Feels symbolic!
Amen fuck the corporate lie
Lets tell some stories and share some pain.x
Some shoes and socks soaked in wet quicksand, drying in the Maltese sun
We accidentally stepped in quicksand and were forced to stop and enjoy our surroundings.
If that isn't a metaphor for life, then what is?!
Knowledge is power, and you can amass knowledge.
Sunset over the North Gozo, Malta
So this was a very satisfying day, and the sunset was well earned. We hiked about 15% round the island coast.
Feels like the solution to a lot of things might just be to be outside.
This is my pup, who's name is Luna. She rocks.
Hey man this is a nice site! Have a good day!
...form our choices. The algorithm essentially does begin to dictate the lives of those who don't question their own actions and situations.
The question to ask yourself is: What would I truly love for my life?
What would it take for me to follow that path?
What we rarely ever see, is the inner voice that says "I can't do that", "what if they laugh", "what if I fail". The courage to listen to that inner voice, acknowledge the fears and guide yourself to overcome them is huge! So often we let social media, and our existing narratives in the world... 2/3
The problem with Social Networks (even Bluesky!) Is that they only present a curated version of people's thoughts and contributions to the world. Sure, they may not all be brilliance. But it is still curated. 1/3
...so ask yourself today, what you can do to proactively seek your own happiness. Whatever that may be, whether it is learning a language, gaining a skill, or even asking someone out!
Light is the only way to fight the darkness π
...to politicians more overtly trying to shape your place in the world for whatever their own goals are(π), we are no longer in a place where you can expect the world to "just happen to you", and the result be in your favour. 2/3
We are living in a world that is constantly working to shape your actions. From sales people, marketers and businesses trying to convince you to buy (in all manner of clever, sly, behavioural sciencey kinds of ways)...1/3
...and in your impact on others. You never know who's day you'll brighten, or who needs your genius. Chances are high someone does.
