Writing Tips: Whenever you feel stuck on writing a certain part of a story. Take a break and go on for a walk, and think about the story. Watch a movie, read a book, or eat some ice cream. Relax your brain. That part will come to you, just take your time.

sprinkle them in. Start off with the essential characters ( let's say three or four), and then as each chapter goes on, add that amount for the following chapters. i said the first four chapters should be enough.
