Basically my idea is that the swords we find in the other games are gifts from Ranni to people she trusted, and many of those people will come to the lands between with her to rebuild it.

I think that it has to do with the dark moon greatsword. In basically every souls game, you can get the dark moon greatsword or a variation of it. The dark moon greatsword is also the sword gifted to the player after promising to become her consort.

The end of her story was about a 1000 year voyage as she travelled to the stars, and doing so would take her to other places where she might bring others back and rebuild the lands between with those who she recruited. The reason I think this has some merit might be absolutely insane tho...

Okay, I've got the most deranged theory for the new #EldenRingNigntsReign game, and it has to do with Ranni and why there are characters from other souls games.
I think the story of #NightsReign is a continuation of if you choose to be Ranni's consort or a parallel world where Ranni takes over.
