The gacha games I play (Limbus Company and Arknights) do legit have some of the best writing, lore and character backstories (& tragedies) I have ever experienced in games.

HOWEVER, I don't buy that with sth like NIKKE. The style and designs feel way too cheap and unserious for that. x_x
