The Irish Times has a nice, but brief, reference to the social and moral 'discussion' about these drinks in a short article published in 1993.
One of the more unusual things I've found when doing some work in the fields, I have to say. A Woody's alcoholic lemonade bottle!. It was described as "wickedly refreshing" when launched in to the Irish market nearly 30 years ago, in 1996!
