In 2008 and 2012 Obama won bc both times people chose between positive visions of the future from McCain and Romney and Obama was just better at being positive. Well, Trump is better at being negative than democrats are and that seems to be effective. 5/
Their ads were incredibly accurate and reflective of the two campaigns and the two prospective administrations. Harris campaigned on hope and joy and Trump campaigned on division and hate. People picked the latter bc being scared seems to be more effective than being pleased. 4/

There was a great commercial in Michigan targeting Jewish women (who showed up for Harris) called the Trump head exam where two young Jewish ladies went to a doctor and asked him questions about trump... they came away from it like "what was I thinking??" 1/
