I was trying to take pictures in natural light of my eye makeup and the sun started hitting some of the prisms I have in the window and I accidentally (& then intentionally) made some gd art. No filters, no editing except some slight cropping to make them all centered in frame & the same size.

The most popular MAGA influencer you've never heard of is an AI foot fetish model A fake soldier duped a million patriots for OnlyFans cash. It’s a sign of more worrying things to come.

"This entire grift operates in direct violation of OnlyFans’ terms of service. The platform’s rules demand that every account must be linked to a verified human being. Any AI-generated content, it says, must actually resemble that specific real person and be explicitly tagged with a #AI label."

"History Is Repeating Itself" The war that the United States and Israel are waging in the Middle East is not solely directed at Iran. An interview with a Lebanese activist

Lebanon: β€œHistory Is Repeating Itself”

The war that the US and Israel are waging in the Middle East is not solely directed at Iran.

Israeli airstrikes are pummeling Lebanon, driving nearly 700,000 people from their homes.

To understand the consequences, we reached out to @ayoub.bsky.social.

don't worry, the U.S. is fully capable of removing mines from the Strait of Hormuz, we didn't just decommission out last mine- sweepers in the area and replace them with Littoral Combat Ships (the worst boats in the fleet by wide agreement) with untested mine interdiction upgrades

Gotta say that this is some extremely creepy language. And the argument basically is... that if the prevent people from treating gender dysphoria (adults, in this case), that they'll just... stop having it? That's not at all how any of this works.

if you brought back grant and sherman today it would take them about 4 hours to dismantle our current military command structure (grant would drink hegseth into a coma, Sherman would spend most of that time shrieking in horror at the existence of airplanes)

on X, @theamargi.bsky.social and many other accounts have reported the death of the Syrian Kurdish Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Saleh Muslim. This is a very sad day. I hope he can be buried in Kobane with his son, who died fighting ISIS.

The facial scan produces a biometric template stored while the account is active. When users modify their PIN or recover their account, the app captures a new facial scan and compares it against the stored template - a 1:1 matching operation. According to the authority, "despite repeatedly asserting - both during account creation and in the privacy policy - that the purpose of processing the biometric facial pattern is to guarantee user identification, Yoti does not consider itself to be processing special category personal data," a position the authority characterised as reflecting "particular negligence."
The fine for this infringement was set at €500,000.

Over and over we've heard from AV providers that no data is stored, and certainly not biometrics.

Spain's filing says this isn't true. Facial scans produce a "stored template" which is kept as long as the account is active.

I'm still boycotting Target, and I don't feel its absence. I think that says a lot, given that I'm a Minnesotan and was so loyal to Target for most of my life. It was also my first job, when I was 17 and my mom said to me, "Since you love it so much why don't you work there?"

The voice that won over Ira Glass hasn't changed much since 1992. It's more subdued than it was in riotously funny essays like "Me Talk Pretty One Day," but the wry wisecracking, the deliberate bitchiness β€” those qualities are still in evidence. Still, in "Cash and Carry," when Sedaris critiques the phrasing on a homeless man's cardboard sign ("It should be 'Help one of the homeless,' I wanted to tell him. Otherwise it sounds like you’re going to take whatever you collect and distribute it to other people in need."), I sympathize with the guy's response that he hopes Sedaris burns in hell. His essays often derive their humor from catty, judgmental moments like that one, and so it's notable that this is the first time I can remember reading one and being firmly on the other person's side. The tone may not have changed, but Sedaris's positioning inarguably has. The very bitchiness which once made his voice feel so fresh has become a commonplace in humor writing; writers from Tina Fey to Samantha Irby have surpassed him in their own fluent versions of it. Watching him uphold it now with such determination feels like watching your dad try to squeeze into the leisure suit he last wore in 1971. Sedaris spent so many years assuring us he was an incurious curmudgeon that he seems to have talked himself into becoming one, at least on the page.

I think it is quite unlikely that we will see Shaheed impacts on the West Coast. Shaheeds are relatively unsophisticated and the US has the capacity to shoot them down. Where they work well is in large numbers, when some can slip through, or against a less well defended target.
