the market’s willingness to ignore massive chaos over the past year has consistently defied my expectations, and yet…gas prices
Trump was never serious about fighting antisemitism and Jewish America never believed him
This particular kind of AI nonsense is downstream of a cultural shift away from meaningful thoughts toward superficially compelling Content. Not coincidentally, AI boosters love Trump.
Surely the President’s task force on antisemitism will be looking into this pronto to figure out how this could have happened.
Correction: the better joke would have been “and they’re all in march”
Groundhog Month
DC has four seasons: summer, fall, whatever this is, and cherry blossoms
The Trump DOJ gave Ticketmaster a sweetheart deal that keeps their monopoly intact & does nothing to stop their ridiculously high prices & fees.
The deal was so good, their stock price jumped 6.2% after the news broke.
Once again: Trump's putting corporations over consumers.
There’s always money and attention for people who say Dems should move to the center to win and do very little with power except defend the status quo from Republicans.
But that’s not actually what voters want. It’s just what big donors and media executives want.
Feels less like a reason for you to be embarrassed and more like a reason for Society to be embarrassed at this stuff having been straight white male clubs for so long
The correct terms for this whole process are political purges and illegal rescission.
But Trump officials (including Elon Musk) say “efficiency” and “private sector” and “waste, fraud, abuse,” and a lot of people—including much of the press—buy it. At least enough to miss the unsubtle big picture.

I’m not making any moral judgment on any generation, and the point about hard times creating opportunities is bigger than any one example. But i do think it’s fair to say Americans of the Greatest Generation had some major achievements that their children have come to take for granted.
Sure, lots of good examples
We the people are responsible for ensuring the government and courts are in the right hands, and for demanding the reforms our institutions desperately need
The Greatest Generation: they did more than just that one thing!
Americans think there’s a limit to how much things can get worse. There isn’t. But there’s also no limit to how much things can get better. Even from here.
Sure, his pointless illegal war is causing oil prices to spike, but it’s not like he’s also trying to kill alternative energy, oh wait
Again, the point is that Trump is systematically dismantling the infrastructure of accountability for anything he or his people might do, with support from Republicans on SCOTUS and in Congress. I’m not making any assertions about which sub-agency is responsible for any particular investigation.
This story is quite possibly at the heart of the Epstein case and why the president and his loyalists are going so far to suppress and distract from the files
He’s purged many others including top lawyers. To the degree any of these offices still have serious professionals who aren’t caving, and are somehow exempt from SCOTUS’ consistent “Trump can fire anyone maybe except Fed governors” stance, great.
Trump purged the Pentagon inspector general on his fifth day in office
Hegseth: This is war
Republican Congress: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
