Well, I am an artist, dog-lover, and avid reader. I also adore cats and dogs. I am a feminist. I am also a fucking bitch. I'm a wee bit cranky as befits my time in life. Definitely not into living under a dictatorship. Pronouns: she/her.

Less than two weeks ago, we thought we might lose our pup Truffle due to serious medical issues. Tonight, I think she had the best walk of her life.
I love the idea that *this* US government, which has been nabbing landscapers and five year olds knows where Iranian sleeper cells are but just hasnβt gotten around to doing anything about it yet.
In the last 24 hours, Iran has:
- Struck three ships trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz, disabling a Thai cargo ship
- Blown up a large oil storage facility in Oman
- Struck two oil tankers at harbor in Iraq, setting both ablaze.
- Blown up oil storage tanks next to Bahrainβs main airport

I was asked where Kell was today, after the pics of Darby & Indy.
Out. Side. π
At this point it's barely even a boycott, I've just stopped thinking of Target as a place to buy the things I used to buy at Target.
The president of the United States took Air Force One to Kentucky today to try and unseat a congressman who exposed a child rape ring involving the president and his friends.
How the hell does that get such normal ho-hum coverage?
Oh thatβs just Trump. What a rascal.
Wait, I thought tankers were just supposed to *power through" the Iranian attacks?
No "AI" generated applications please. We read every application. E.g. we read through nearly 600 internship applications a couple of years back. It's pretty easy to tell whether someone is blasting slop or truly spending the time to apply.

One of the worldβs largest and most valuable companies is one step closer to being the owner of the biggest proposed solar array and battery storage project in Oregon.
I could help contextualize this by sharing links to a bunch of excellent research, but the thing is, you actually donβt need research or to be some kind of brain genius to understand why this is a terrible idea. You just have to think about it for thirty seconds or ask yourself βand THEN what?β
Reminder: Universal free school lunches costs somewhere between $21-$30 billion a year.
We killed 150 school children a week ago and just got a receipt for $11.3 billion dollars from the Pentagon... I fucking hate it here.

Care to watch the White House correspondent for PBS News Hour as she challenges the president on voter fraud and a "rigged" election?
When we use the term "fact-based," this is what we mean.

The Trump regime has no idea what itβs doing hour to hour, just in case you thought there was some grand strategy in Iran
I need to hire a balladeer. Anyone know one who can write a slow song about an epic and doomed love story? @lollardfish.bsky.social
Let's see...the U.S. uses around 20 million barrels of oil per day.
172/120 = ~1.43M barrels per day, which would cover ~7% of that.
Gas prices are up ~22% on avg since a month ago.
So I guess the idea is to shave off 1/3 of the price hike to date?
This.
motherfucker learned as a baby developer to just make mouth noises, say whatever the marks needed to hear. regrettably it has served him pretty well.
Major Israeli bombing attacks in Beirut tonight. Really big ones.
And the Times found a sharp partisan skew: βFor every dollar donated by billionaires and their immediate families to a candidate or committee associated with Democrats, five dollars went to Republicans.β
The Times study found that β300 billionaires and their immediate family members donated more than $3 billion β 19 percent of all contributions β in federal elections in 2024, either directly or through political action committees.β
The New York Times published an extraordinary study of the role of billionaires in politics earlier this week, that naturally got lost in everything that is going on, including in Iran.
Here is a gift link to the article, and a few select quotes:
