This makes me really happy that a random blog post I wrote has helped someone. Keep writing about your learnings everyone! Your personal blogs help people. π
Amazing! Thatβs so nice to hear. I shared it because I was so frustrated that I couldnβt find any info on how to do it. Thanks for your kind words and enjoy the βnewβ laptop! π
Haha! Snowboard spins remind me of being at ECTS (games show in London) in the late-90s and playing "1080 Snowboarding" with Jeff Minter (very famous video game developer). We were both blown away by the N64's graphics and how good the game was.
Watching the snowboard menβs big air event at the Winter Olympics. I remember when 1080 spins were seen as a big deal and here we have 1980 spins. Incredible!
Need to play with this. Installed OpenClaw on a VM and itβs tearing through Gemini tokens with almost nothing connected. π The thing I like most is the proactive nature of it though.
Possibly! Let me know whatβs wrong.
Yup. I'm feeling exactly the same.
Yet another blog post. Two in a week is a new record for me. A quick guide to rescuing a locked MacBook Pro.

I want 2026 to be a year where I start blogging on my own site again. I've finally published a blog post after it sitting in draft for 4 months. Only a year after my last blog post. π

Spent about 4 hours talking to Gemini to try to get a Proxmox samba share to work with my Mac. It's just going round in circles getting me to change the config over and over again. Still doesn't work.
This is so good. Someone has built an old MTV player. It just streams old MTV footage and videos 24/7. I still remember loving watching MTV in hotels in Germany when I was DJing over there in the 90s/2000s as we didn't have it at home.

The Ballad of Wallis Island was so lovely. Need to watch some others from your list and found some new ones I'd not heard of. Thanks for sharing!
Hello!

Yes it was a bit up and down. Very much enjoyed the last episode of volume 1. I thought the final wrap up was a great way to end it. #nospoilers
The Stranger Things finale did the series justice IMHO. I might have shed a little tear or two at the end.
Locking in to watch the final episode of Stranger Things. Hopefully itβll wrap it all up nicely and Steve and Dustin donβt die. π€π»
I bought this to play with my son after we played It Takes Two. Also got Lego Voyagers on the Switch for my daughter. A lot more chilled but still a fun co-op game.
Itβs NYE. Both of our late teenage kids are away for the evening. Iβm drinking a glass of red wine and cooking the dish I made for my wife on one of our first dates almost 25 years ago. Enjoy your evenings and Happy New Year! β€οΈ
In case anyone else is trying to watch Disney+ on a Fire Stick, it drops frames every 10 seconds and the video stutters. Thought it was our internet but itβs a known issue.

Thanks! Sounds good. Need to order them online as Iβm not sure I can cope with going into IKEA during the day. π
What are you using them for? You've got me tempted to pick up a pack from Ikea at that price. I've just installed Home Assistant on a homelab mini PC so I've been experimenting with my existing devices, mostly Meross smart plugs.
Turkey stock and turkey chilli day. Living the Christmas dream. π
Happy Holidays! Thankfully mine are now 16 and 18 so just roll their eyes at the mention of it.
I bought it for my son (18) because we loved playing It Takes Two. We only played 2 hours last night but looking forward to more later. Such brilliant games.
Testing out an update to my notes automation and hoping that this will now have a thumbnail on Bluesky. Check out the Cooking Soul "A Tribe Called Christmas" mixtape as it's wonderful.

This is a great episode of the Louis Theroux podcast with Jimmy Carr. Iβm always fascinated by how other people work and hearing Jimmy talking about how he plans his shows and comedy is really interesting.

Itβs Home Alone time. Keep the change, ya filthy animal!
If you havenβt heard this Christmas classic mixtape then you really should enjoy it over the festive period. Lots of Christmas songs cut up with MF DOOM rapping. So good.
