Hi! Troubleshooting the goat cameras. These are fabulously handy tools for kidding season. I still wake up through the night to keep an eye on suspect does. But I just have to look at my phone. No need to trundle to the goat yard every 2 hours for checks.

One of the more depressing aspects of the GLP-1 stuff right now is how utterly inescapable it is. Whatever you're doing, wherever you are, there are people shrinking at alarming rates, and endless discussion of said shrinking. There's seemingly no place to just *rest.*
With that, and my minimal social interactions. I promise I help redirect or better engage in conversations around fat hate or disparaging body talk. And the social circle I'm part of is totally on the same page. Planting seeds of different/better thoughts are important.
Holy smokes. I very unintentionally am out of the loop. Rural living, hanging with goats, and mainly watching PBS and deleting fb. It's these conversations on here that keep me looped in even though the glp1 topic and impact has to be overwhelming for so many people.

In the same vein is Barefoot Gen, people should watch these films. The inescapable doom I think really impacts me. I think it's why zombie movies freak me out in very real ways. And of course a lot of Japanese cinema I think reflects that. Uff-da.
I have rewatched this, but cautiously. Funny, this was my entry to Twin Peaks. Watched it when I was 19, and only because David Bowie was in it. It was a heck of an experience.
This is one of those movies that I watch about once a year. I have enjoyed reading about other people's thoughts on this movie as well, especially after time has passed. Growing up and living my adult life in a rural space can force you to deal with all the forms of chaos, and be ok-ish with it.
Grave Of Fireflies is very uncomfortable/heartbreaking to rewatch. Many people won't rewatch it. I also remember watching Welcome to the Dollhouse when it first came out and not wanting to rewatch it. But I'm curious now and plan to watch it soon. Discomfort hits differently for people.

No regrets about my Vampire Hunter D tattoo I got when I was 19. But even then I knew I never wanted a tattoo that was hyper branded. Even with my deep appreciation for David Bowie, I always abstained from a Bowie tattoo.
