Love this show. Mikeβs illbent djβing is always a thrill, and it great to hear new music from the local scene (like 3am, Marc Laidlaw, and @herrmania.bsky.social )

Happy Birthday Ornette Coleman

Maybe the most important message β go niche, go deep.
I bought a bunch of David Lynch books from Mattβs store last February. Endorsed!
He worked on Melania too.
Similar game at my house:
β ball is brought and thrown and retrieved [no points]
β interruption (a phone call) and the ball is pushed under a bookcase and barked at incessantly until I huff across the room cursing. [Point scored]
β I barricade every ball-sized gap in the house [match Dachshund]
βI just need to keep pushing my niche as far as I can.β Do it.
gentle waves
gravel
a scatter of wooden debris,
scrapping at my inner ear β
you afloat
in rhythms carved with care, I trust your ways.
silent strength
& fervour; skin mounted
with the turquoise eyes of the stumbled winter sea.
the radio asks for no frequency.

RIP to Γliane Radigue (1932-2026)
thank you for taking my ears to places beyond...
places of suspended time...
a huge influence.
What a line-up! I bought a ticket just in case Iβm miraculously in transit
Γliane Radigue - RIP
Listening to the Trilogy tonight. elianeradigue.bandcamp.com/album/trilog...
Marc Laidlaw posted some stems to his Dan Deacon track on their recently and watched as separate stems got likes from the same bot accounts. Seems like SoundCloud is cooked.
This is one of the most revelatory and inspiring things I've heard recently - a reverse engineered version of Suzanne Vega's song 'Tom's Diner,' revealing all the sounds stripped out when encoded to an MP3.

Hopefully you donβt wake up 20 years from now and realize this was all a dream and youβre still in an ilok loop.
Courage!
No way he could have fixed that. Smart move.
Another perfect vehicle for Rockwellβ weird, flawed, a bit too long, and over the top. Had a great time though.
William Blakeβs illustration for βThe Tygerβ has what appears to be a dippy grin for some reason.
The wonderful thing about Tyggers
Is Tyggers are burning bright
Their tops are made out of rubber
In the forest of the night
What bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Immortal hand or eye
Did frame the most wonderful thing about Tyggers,
Their fearful symmetry!
Lots to like about The Bone Temple, but it goes into that βnever going to watch it again pileβ, where films that delight in graphic depictions of torture end up. (Funny Games, Reservoir Dogs, Mandy). Watching it back to back with 28 Years Later was really a strange tonal shift.
Post an image you can hear
Amazing how much of the mood of this film is these big goldenthal washes of emotion. Giving the characters more depth than Mann can put on a page.
Will these live streams be generated and streamed live or pre-rendered individual versions that are only played for each of these streams ?
I think this documentary is greatβ Iβve seen two very different versions twice, but I think itβs important to have some clarity what is being shown.
But according to Quora βitβs in a different key and slower tempoβ. π€£
Happy Birthday! Youβre officially old enough to celebrate whenever you see fit. Had to push mine by months last year β and it was better because of it.
Or the True Romance/Gassenhauer bit thatβs trying so hard to be as cool as Badlands.
Lid stash is just one of the ways to survive 2026.
Post a tree you photographed.
Hueβs Ai assistant is really not making good life suggestions. I really do not want to go to sleep at 10pm in the Office, no matter what Iβve done in the past.
And John Carpenter
