And a question just came into my brain: Historically, is there any connection between the words ΧΧͺΧ¨ and the Greek word heteros (different/other)? Or is it just super weird coincidence?
The word ΧΧͺΧ¨ (heter: concept in Judaism: permission/dispensation from a rabbi to do something, different than the usual practice/observance in that community) The Hebrew word comes from the root for permit/untie/releaseβlike Matir Asurim in the amidah.

Yes, andβ¦there are mistakes that are baked into the text. Masoretes instituted corrections for some (a word looks like one thing written, but we pronounce it another way. Itβs actually kind of fascinating. And one of my favorite short teaches.

Like millions of Americans, I bought a TV between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It was delivered yesterday. It is so pretty. And the picture is WOW!! Itβs an LG OLED, 65 inch (which is a huge jump from my last tv). And now I canβt stop watching terrible tv streaming.
