Unfortunately, no. This is not the actual setups by the students, which was a bit more improvised as they made it as part of a open lab course project. They presented their results as a printed poster and the setup in the video is just our reproduction to share the idea.
Our students came up with a creative solution to measure a force with a smartphone and phyphox.
Photo of the award ceremony. Five people stand in front of a stage with second from the right holding a document. The people in the photo are from left to right: Heidrun Heinke, Dominik Dorsel, Christoph Stampfer, Sebastian Staacks and Joost-Pieter Katoen. The first four are the awardees representing the phyphox team, the latter is the RWTH's Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning.
We are thrilled to receive the RWTH Aachen Special Teaching Award! For the phyphox team, this honor is a wonderful recognition of our work and of the many years of collaborative development behind the project.

Did I talk too much in the workshop? No, they are using the accelerometer in their phone and @phyphox.org to measure their heartbeat. Lying still with the phone on your chest gives very detailed data.
New @phyphox.org experiment dropped to www.smartphysicslab.org/resources.html to measure the distance to the Moon. Direct link: github.com/smartphysics....
Enjoy!
A level physics demo - dropping a magnet through a copper tube. This time with a force sensor data logger so we can measure the extra downward force in the copper tube as the magnet falls within. DIY Bluetooth sensor in 3d printed case that streams the data to @phyphox.org app. #iteachphysics
Photo of the parting present for Jens. A 3D printed base holds four items: A large phyphox logo made of wood, a medium 3D printed phyphox logo in organge and white and a small phyphox logo engraved into a block of clear acryllic. The forth item in the front is a black coated aluminium business card engraved in German: "Danke für 5 Jahre phyphox-Dienst" (Thanks for five years of phyphox service)
Today we say goodbye to Jens after handling our public outreach for more than 5 years. While we're sad to see him leave we are optimistic to see more chances to work together in the future.
You can still reach him through his phyphox email and of course his social media channels (@hcszt.d-64.social)
Calmly-eating-kebap meme: “smartphone physicist” is calmly eating, “AI madness” rioting in the background
Am Dienstag ist die Herbsttagung MNU Nordrhein an der Universität zu Köln. Ab 11:30 Uhr zeigt Marija ihr phyphox-Kit, ein Rundum-Sorglos-Paket für Smartphone-Experimente im NaWi/Physik-Unterricht an weiterführenden Schulen. 🧑🔬

That’s on me meme: Jake: “I’m a physicist” Jess: “Okay, then name 61 ways to measure the height of a building.” Jake: “With a smartphone?” Jess: (silently) “That's on me, I set the bar too low.”

The acoustic stopwatch might work here with a carefully tuned threshold. The “multi” tab runs continuously.
It was good to get A-level students doing some calculations with the shuttling ball demo yesterday:

A smartphone is not all that different in shape from a skateboard, in Australia, they are willing to take risks, and so “The mobile phone as a free-rotation laboratory” was born, www.physics.usyd.edu.au/~wheat/paper... (for tl;dr, there is a video via the DOI link). 2/3
