This is a dark and atmospheric promotional image for "The Brightview Haunting" at UK Games Expo, conveying a horror theme. At the very top, in a simple, clear font, it says: "DINA SAID SO STUDIO PRESENTS." The main focus of the image is the game's title, "The Brightview Haunting," which is prominently displayed in a large, eerie, and somewhat decaying font. The word "The" is small and sits above "Brightview." "Brightview" is in a light green, slightly glowing, gnarled font that looks like twisted branches or roots. Below it, "Haunting" is in a similar, but more angular and sharp, font, also in light green. The overall effect is unsettling and organic, like something growing or festering. The background is predominantly dark and shadowy, with a hint of mist or smoke, suggesting a supernatural setting. To the left, a monstrous, gnarled figure with glowing yellow-green eyes is partially visible, appearing to emerge from the darkness. Its skin or bark-like texture is in shades of brown, purple, and red, with glowing accents. Its long, skeletal fingers are extended, reaching out towards the viewer or the game board. In the mid-ground, to the right and slightly below the monster, there's a detailed view of elements from the board game. A section of a game board is visible, featuring a map with what look like rooms, corridors, and perhaps a stylized building layout, in muted blues, greens, and grays. Around the board are various game components: cards with artwork, tokens, and possibly dice. The artwork on the cards hints at characters or terrifying entities. In the bottom left corner, there's a circular logo that says "Dina Said So Studio". In the bottom right corner, there is the "UK GAMES EXPO" logo. Across the very bottom of the entire image, there's a bold, orange-yellow bar that reads: "BOOTH 3-962" in large, black text, showcasing the location of the booth at the Expo.
This is a bold and intense promotional image for "Crimson Keep" at UK Games Expo, featuring a gritty, medieval fantasy art style. At the very top, in a simple, clear font, it says: "DINA SAID SO STUDIO PRESENTS." The main focus of the image is the game's title, "Crimson Keep," which is large and centrally placed. "Crimson" is in a rough, distressed red font, as if painted with blood or rust, with a black outline. "Keep" is directly below it, in a similar distressed style but in a stark white color with a black outline. The letters are bold and have a hand-drawn, almost brutalist quality. The entire title is set against a dark, irregular shape that looks like a torn fabric or battle-worn banner. The background of the image is a detailed illustration depicting a chaotic medieval battle scene. Various armored knights and soldiers are visible, some on horseback, wielding weapons like swords and spears. Their armor is typically gray and metallic. Monstrous creatures are also present: a red, scaled dragon with sharp teeth and an angry expression; a large, green-skinned orc-like creature with prominent tusks and a spiked club; and a striped tiger-like beast. The background is a blend of muted greys, browns, and dark reds, with hints of a ruined castle wall. The art style is robust and gritty, reminiscent of comic book or fantasy art. The overall impression is one of conflict, dark fantasy, and intense combat.
This is a vibrant and dynamic promotional image for a game called "Fight Deck" at UK Games Expo. At the very top, in a simple, clear font, it says: "DINA SAID SO STUDIO PRESENTS." The main focus of the image is the game's logo, "FIGHT DECK," which is large and bold, designed to look like a marquee sign with a fiery, gradient effect. The letters are thick, with a bright yellow to orange-red fade, and they have a strong purple outline, giving them a neon, illuminated look. Beneath "FIGHT DECK," in smaller, but still prominent text, it says "SELECT YOUR FIGHTER." The logo is placed over the game's box, which is visible in the background, slightly blurred. The cards surrounding the box has a dark, purple or blue, background and features illustrations of various characters, fighters from the game, in dynamic poses. Below the "SELECT YOUR FIGHTER" text, there are a few small icons that give game information: 2 players. 16+ age rating 10-25" play time minutes. In the bottom left corner, there's a circular logo that says "Dina Said So Studio" with a stylized initial. The bottom right corner features the "UK GAMES EXPO" logo Across the very bottom of the entire image, there's a bold, orange-yellow bar that reads: "BOOTH 3-962" in large, black text, showcasing the location of the booth at the Expo.
This is a bright and playful promotional image for "Smoothie Wars" at UK Games Expo, featuring a stylized map theme. At the very top, in a simple, clear font, it says: "DINA SAID SO STUDIO PRESENTS." The main focus of the image is the game's title, "SMOOTHIE WARS," which is large and centrally placed. "SMOOTHIE" is in a bubblegum pink, rounded font with a yellow and orange gradient outline. "WARS" is next to it, in a more angular, but still friendly, orange-red font with a yellow outline. The 'S' in "WARS" is replaced by a dollar sign ($), giving it a quirky look. A small "TM" (trademark symbol) is next to the title. The background of the image is a cartoonish, overhead view of a map or landscape. It features winding gray roads, patches of green grass, light green trees with rounded canopies, and a blue body of water (possibly a beach or lake) on the right side with small, white star-like patterns (perhaps sand or foam). There are also small, white, rectangular shapes that might represent buildings or tents, and a soccer field graphic with a goal and markings. The colors are bright and cheerful, typical of a casual or family-friendly game. In the bottom left corner, there's a circular logo that says "Dina Said So Studio" with a stylized initial. In the bottom right corner, there is the "UK GAMES EXPO" logo, which is a stylized hexagon shape with the text "UK GAMES EXPO" inside. Across the very bottom of the entire image, there's a bold, orange-yellow bar that reads: "BOOTH 3-962" in large, black text, showcasing the location of the booth at the Expo. The overall impression is one of lighthearted competition in a strategy and resource management game.
I am so excited to pack my bags and travel
to the UK for the UK Games Expo. We have a lot of
fantastic publishers with us this year, so I put this slide
together for those wondering what they can expect to
find at our booth this year.
3-962, see you there!
Every year, like clockwork, the board game community gets a bit of a spring cleaning itch.
In a market projected to reach a whopping $34.1 billion by 2030, with a constant influx of fantastic new titles, it's no wonder we're feeling the pressure to make room!
How is your spring cleaning going?
Red-haired woman dressed in a dusty green hoodie and trousers. She has a big smile on her face and is looking into the camera. One arm is resting on her knee as she leans forward on her stool.
Two weeks from now, weโll be surrounded by hundreds of creators and gaming enthusiasts at the UK Games Expo! To make the most of it, we're packing our bags and our imaginations! ๐
You can find us at Booth 3-962.
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again. <3
Wishing everyone a great week!
A world map with North America is seen in focus. 6 plastic cubes are placed around a circle on the map noting the demon invasion of the region. Two standees with characters dressed in dark robes can be seen in European and South American locations, but they are so far away that they seem out of reach.
Finally got the photo room ready in the house.
Time to shoot some more boardgames! The picture is of Four Horsemen by Win Win Boardgames
Congratulations!
I got mine last year and still adjusting
woman standing on a big stage with a presentation behind her marked Dina Said So Studio, in big letters it says: Don't just think about game design, make it. The stage is lit up by long light rods that are set up to resemble a Star wars fight scene with light sabers.
Can't wait to get back here and talk more about Game Design!
I just changed last year and it still trips me up thinking I am this old. Like, when did that happen?!
This is one of the things I love when we work with you <3
It really encourages us to send you all them expansions as well ;)
I hate it when we work with creators that refuses to edit their mistakes and correct - especially if they got crucial aspects of the core game loop wrong and end up hating on the game because of it.
Let's just say we never work with those again.
You're the good ones. <3 Keep up the good work.
Red haired woman with a huge smile on her face looks into the viewfinder on a camera in front if her as she manually adjusts the zoom. Her arms reached around a tall chrome-coloured tripod with two cameras attached, one on each side of the frame.
I am a firm believer in supporting women-led businesses, so when I found a portrait photographer in the neighbourhood I immediately suggested a collaboration.
I helped her shoot social media content, and she would shoot me while working.
It was one of the most enjoyable shoots I have ever directed.
My partner and I talked yesterday about my red-flag-list, and it made me think about how women often have whisper networks where we share names and experiences with people who are not considered SAFE.
No questions asked, if you see me at a convention and need an out or a place to hide - I got you.
This mascot is SO CUTE!
imagine having a campaign with this adorable face everywhere, and then choosing not to go with it
