Practical reality is that democratic socialism, with or without capitalist elements, seems generally the best overall way to go when you're actually concerned about your country's populace; I.E. health, happiness, wealth, production, etc.; the US's "die for the economy" shit ain't it either.

For the record, I think communism-- I.E. of the Marxist/Leninist variety-- can work in small scale, like in a factory or a small commune. Take it to anything beyond superlocal level, though, and it falls flat on its ass.

The original Japanese title is "Aa! Megami-sama!" which is translated both as "Ah! My Goddess!" and "Oh My Goddess!"; the Dark Horse Comics translation of the manga used the latter title, all other known localizations used the former.

In all known English localizations the character's always been called "Belldandy" because the Norse "Verþandi" doesn't gel with Japanese, the closest being "Berudandi". It's a Norse→Japanese→English dealio; it's like how the blonde demon girl's either "Mara" or "Marller" depending on who you ask.
