Trump, at a press conference at his golf club near Miami, the WAR against Iran will end "very soon" but not this week...
The words came out of Trumps own mouth.
Is Johnson calling him a liar??

Same with Vietnam. That was never a Congressionally declared war, yet we drafted 2 million young men to go fight and die in that not-a-war.
We bombed a sovreign nation. Our soldiers, their soldiers, and their civilians (including children) have died. What is it then?
This reminds me of the Korean War, which they tried to brand as a "police action." If stuff blows up like a war, and people die like a war, it's a war.
Or maybe we should just call Hegseth the Secretary of Excursion.
You could call it a "Special Military Operation" as your masters did.
The veterans who fought and died in the Korean war would like a word

Mike Johnson blatantly makes stuff up: "We had information that they might well fire on us and it was imminent, and that it would hit our personnel. We could not wait for mass casualties on the American side."
WONG: If this drags out for a month or two, is there a role for Congress then to step in? At what point does Congress need to assert itself?
MIKE JOHNSON: We have asserted ourselves. This commander in chief desires peace. He's ended 8 wars.
If Iran has put out any mines in the Hormuz Strait, and we have no reports of them doing so, we want them removed, IMMEDIATELY! If for any reason mines were placed, and they are not removed forthwith, the Military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before. If, on the other hand, they remove what may have been placed, it will be a giant step in the right direction! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Jeffries: "We're in the middle of an affordability crisis. I know Donald Trump denies it exists. In fact, he thinks the most important thing Republicans should focus on right now is voter suppression legislation. That's extraordinary."
Mike Johnson plays dumb on reports Russia is helping Iran target US troops: "I haven't been in the SCIF for a confidential briefing, but the president commented yesterday that if indeed Russia is helping Iran, they're not doing a very good job. So we'll leave it on that."
WONG: Trump has said he won't sign anything until the SAVE America Act is sent to his desk. Is this the end of legislation for this cycle?
MIKE JOHNSON: No, it's not. As you know, if legislation is sent to the president's desk and he didn't sign it for 10 days it would become law automatically
"You ought to come back to us with some data" -- Dick Durbin dogwalks Peter Schweizer over his wild, evidence-free claims about a plague of Chinese "birth tourism"
WALLACE: Why are we at war with Iran?
CHRIS MURPHY: Great question. The simplest explanation might be the one they gave 24 hours in that they've kind of tried to backtrack from since -- that Israel made us do it.
here's the Ted Cruz hit on Newsmax that Chris Murphy was criticizing in real time as he was on MS NOW π
"In his second term, Trump knew exactly what he wanted and who could give it to him. In many cases, that meant not just a weak choice but literally the worst possible choice, the person guaranteed to do maximal harm. In short, we have never seen quite this collection of clowns, cranks, and crooks."

It's a war I cannot explain.
A war that I deny is a war at all.
A war that justifies the peace prize FIFA made up for me.
A war that I have already won, but which will keep going indefinitely.
And my strategy?

If Trump has totally destroyed their navy and all their missile capabilities, as he says, then why canβt ships move through the Strait of Hormuz?
Devastating reporting. Like RFK Jr., Kristi Noem, and Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth is reshaping his department to indiscriminately kill tons and tons of children.

Trump's got about 39% support right now. How is that possible?
two things:
1. fascism has a constituency
2. partisanship is powerful
I talk about both at some length here. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/why-isnt-t...
