I feel like a lot of people's mentailities have shifted from "I am responsible for what I see" to "The content creator is responsible for making sure I don't see their content if I don't want to".

He/Him | Hobby Writer | Very Gay I will try to post updates on my stories and progress here! Check pinned post for all my profiles! Currently working on: Mothercucker On Hiatus (for now): I Will Bear with You Forever
I feel like a lot of people's mentailities have shifted from "I am responsible for what I see" to "The content creator is responsible for making sure I don't see their content if I don't want to".
This reminds me of a comment section where people were complaining about the story being about a cuckold and humiliation, when the tags included... cuckold and humiliation. Like it's not that hard to avoid things you don't want to read, because most writers tag properly.
That is... what logic even is that? First of all, they imply the majority of people had been traumatized, which is a WILD claim to make, bc who are they to know? And second of all, even if, what in particular is in bad taste? It was most likely properly tagged, so everyone can ignore it if they want
It is such a shame where internet and fiction culture is moving to. Culture in general. Like, everything has to be absolutely sanitized. Any depictions of anything bad are deemed "problematic", content that doesn't suit someone's taste is "immoral and should be banned, lol". It's sad.
I feel like puritanism in smut has experienced a big rise recently. Because everything is seen as directly affecting reality. I've read takes such as "workplace romance increases workplace SA cases" or "millionaire romances promote capitalism" like??? It's fiction. I think most people can separate
Oof ๐ I've not seen many hateful comments on GD, but on a certain other site it was very prominent to hate on stories and accuse them of stuff. Also, I have seen people (not on GD) say size-difference is doing the same. Mind you, this was an image of people who were like a head apart in height.
Mhm, I've noticed that when I posted there! Though AI detectors also run a risk of being mistaken, so that's sadly an extra layer of risk. But hey, at least it's better than nothing! Though I will say, what irks me most is when someone is so lazy they do not even remove the prompts from the story.
And while I'm not going to forbid anyone from doing so, I just wish they were transparent about it. For example, if you wrote a fanfiction or collabed with someone, you would clearly indicate it SOMEWHERE, right? I feel like the same should be said about AI.
I get what you mean. I was talking about monetized work in my post, but yes, it applies to free works as well. I think it's quite clear when you see the numbers of stories posted per year before and after LLMs became popular.
I feel like I see the first point SO often. I have seen some creators who post writing about once EVERY SINGLE DAY. We're talking 5k+ words here. EDITED. Sometimes even MORE than once per day, which is CRAZY.
Side note to what I usually post: Drawing is a PAIN in the ASS. Now, I haven't been drawing for too long - practicing for like... 3 months at this point? Cumulatively. But all these "for beginners" tutorials make me feel like the spongebob art school episode. WHAT DO YOU MEAN "Then you do this" HOW?
But I will say, Linux requires a LOT of self-initiative. Things do NOT just work. There's a lot of programs that have little alternative on Linux and can't really be run. Overall, it's... a bit of a pain. But also oddly liberating. Especially since it doesn't eat up much RAM.
There are some games that WILL NOT work, like LoL and other invasive anti-cheat games. Some games are a PAIN to run, but I got them running eventually. Generally, you can see if a game can be run when you look at Protondb.
I switched to Linux Mint from Windows last year. It is... okay for gaming. Most things work quite well with little tinkering (Steam uses Proton which helps run Windows applications on Linux), but I have had to do some adjustments for most games so far.
A graph depicting the chance i'll send my friends porn links they'll like, it shows a graph that depicts an initial jump 'of shared interest' followed by 'the trough of woe' finishing at a total height of 'sends link 0 comment'
expressing myself with graphs again
I'm ready!
As someone who's not really in the community all that much, would you be willing to elaborate what u18 is and what this means? Because it sounds hilarious, I'm just a bit confused. Sorry, I don't really interact much with furry spaces ๐ญ
These are the sites I primarily post on and will most likely be the places you can find my updates the quickest. I might be on other platforms, but just marginally.
Please, always leave feedback! I'm more than happy to hear you guys' opinions and always happy about comments!

#DailyProgress Worked on the last Phenomaman chapter a bit! We are 700 words in babyyyy!
I just want to say, as someone who writes a lot of dadson, your comics (and art in general) are quite a big inspiration for many of my stories. Thank you for your content! Can't wait to see more of this comic! (Even if we're only at the second page, I have a feeling I'll really like it)
Loud Younger Jock Passimian x Shy Older Nerdy Librarian Oranguru
Why have I never seen anyone do this around? Come on people, give me the goods!
Do I need to write this story myself?

Hello you all! This year has been my first time truly publishing my writing! Thank you all for being part of this journey and may we stay together for longer!
Small update: Hello! I am still alive and kicking. Currently working on the last chapter of the Phenomaman fanficiton. As for how the near future looks: I'll be SWAMPED in IRL stuff. But I'll try and make time for writing. I will most like put IWBWYF on hiatus for a while, focusing on Mothercucker.
A question to all of you:
Is there anything you'd like to see of me? I have some works prepared that I'll definitely work on in the future, but maybe you all would like to see me write something specific? A certain style or a certain setting/situation? Let me know in the replies!

Slow and steady wins the race ;) You got this
That is an excellent question. Usually, I don't really consider what I'd like authors to write, but I can try: Personally, I'd like to see you write a kink that is new to you, but you'd like to explore! There's a lot you still haven't written about, so I'd be intrigued to see them in your style.
New Story!
