After surgery I feel both better and worse. Better because I’ve finally stopped seeing blood, worse because I sleep constantly and can’t even make it to the store. Doctors said it’s normal: my iron is very low and I’m recovering, and they nearly had to do a blood transfusion. So drawing is hard now.

As someone who’s worked as a concept artist, that would feel awful. It’s even sadder because they’re clearly talented and working on my favourite game. It really hurts to see fellow creatives treat other artists’ work like that.
Found out today that a Minecraft studio I liked has been taking ArtStation concepts, turning them into paid models and not crediting the artists. When I asked, they said “images online are public” and “we’re not breaking the law”. As a former concept artist, that really hurts.
On Monday I’m finally going to see a psychiatrist about all my worries and everything else. In a way, it already makes me feel a bit lighter. I’ve been thinking a lot about myself these past few days, and I think some help from the outside really wouldn’t hurt.
I’ve been thinking, after a Reddit comment, about adding “relationships” with NPCs to the mod. You could give them gifts and level up your relationship, and in return they might share more details or offer new items. Hmmmm
Today I finished the decorative blocks for my Minecraft mod, and we wrapped up all the icons for them too! It was a big job, and there’s just a bit of functionality left to polish (I really want the lyre to play melodies when you click it)
I’m the kind of person who struggles to respond to others. I get very shy and feel a strong urge to hide. Because of that, I can miss a lot. And I still don’t know how to change that about myself.
I feel a bit uneasy because I still can’t figure out how to use X and Reddit. I feel awkward replying there - especially when message notifications show up couple weeks later and I’m embarrassed to answer because so much time has passed :,) But I guess that’s mostly just my… brain gremlins, idk.
