Imagine a world where children are never encouraged to draw or write or imagine stories, they are only told to consume and prompt and generate, poking the Approved Intellectual Property Characters with a stick to dance for them, but never having characters or worlds or stories of their own.

I won't do comics without a clear outline ever again. The uncertainy of a story without secure plot points and a solid ending is stressful and discouraging.
Love where the story I'm working on is going. I set up a larger story to span chapters, but there is also the potential for less long form, episodic stories either throughout, or after the main line plot is covered.
The stories I want to tell don't jive with my usual art style. I'm going to have to figure out how to bring them together more cohesively. Somehow..

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...
Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.
