Obvs don’t have my diagnosis yet & the world may end before they take my referral but, I assume this is an adhd thing how I come alive at night and actually it’s really fucking annoying as I can’t sleep - the meditation helps but it’s so hard for me to do it properly because my brain never shuts up

I suspect the people who complain about "over-diagnosis" actually just don't think ADHD is a real thing.
So stats / research won't persuade them.

Worst thing a psychiatrist ever said to me was “there are these podcasts I really like, have you ever heard of Jordan Peterson?”
I went unmedicated for a bit after that one

I once had someone chipperly tell me “you don’t sound depressed,” which was unpleasant since I had just spent an hour working up the nerve to a call a psychiatrist, and the person who said it was the receptionist

Any coach who gives someone 10 different things to try has probably not been trained as an ADHD coach

ADHD Books - ADDCoach4U
ADHD Books. Focusing mainly on Adults with ADHD
If you want to be radicalized to the far right, that might be a good reading list, minus Tom Clancy.
I would check out other ADHD reading lists though
I have some ADHD books here

This is what I should have said to the psychotherapist who marketed themselves as an "ADHD coach", who was utterly baffled that I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult because I have two Bachelor degrees and a Masters.

El Niño is one of the biggest climate forces on Earth and it has a profound impact on world-wide weather because of all the heat released into the atmosphere from the ocean. END

Also it releases lots of Heat… so it super charges heat waves around the planet and floods too - it all tends to be more immense and intense. And you can bet Earth will experience its hottest days on record coming later 2026 into 2027.4/

In Canada IF doctors are trained on ADHD they can diagnose and treat ADHD, problem is few are.
And not enough psychiatrists
Now thanks to all provinces discriminating against ADHD people they have defacto privatized ADHD diagnosis & meds to private nurse practitioner online mills $600 to assess

Yes, insane it is mainly psychiatrists and psychologists who diagnose ADHD, in the UK, there are not enough of them
Hope people with ADHD in UK have a campaign to contact their MPs and demand they require ALL UK doctors & NP to have mandatory CME courses in ADHD
Hope Cdns do the same

One of the main issues in the UK is the lack of NHS diagnostic clinic capacity (you can do it privately, of course). In Canada, diagnosis is publicly funded but relatively few psychiatrists will follow up or treat, so waiting times at that stage are quite long.

For over a decade it’s just been a matter of actually listening to what the guy says. He is not subtle, he does not communicate in metaphor, and although he is hyperbolic about his accomplishments, he is extremely literal about his intentions. It’s exhausting STILL watching ppl willfully reject this

We’ve been listening to the same rhetoric for years. It was obvious that he had no respect for service members when he mocked and snarked at John McCain, an actual hero. But republicans looked the other way then and never looked back.

He grudgingly showed up at the ceremony for the 6 soldiers killed, pissed off these “suckers and losers” interrupted his golf game and couldn’t even be bothered to take off his ugly, grotesque and tacky hat.

I just saw the dignified transfer of the US service members who were killed in Iran.
Demented Donny did NOT remove his stupid, ugly baseball cap during the transfer ceremony. I don't think you can be anymore DISRESPECTFUL than that.
I don't know what the rules are but it just seemed so gross.
