Oh, I thought you were talking about like, backlight control, that's what I think of as brightness. Adding a darkness tint should also be doable the same way, yeah, I follow now.

I think most screens fall into either supporting automatic brightness control, in which case it should be left automatic, or not, in which case you probably can’t control it programmatically.

Last time I looked at Bluesky much, it was like 50/50 images and actual messages.

Now it feels like it's 99 to 1 images and actual messages.

I have plenty of art I could share, but I don't know if I want to bother in a place where I don't know if I'll get to actually talk to people.

You don't, and can't yet as far as I know. bsky is still the host instance. It's not really a "redirect", the domain is simply not used as part of routing to you the way it is for email and mastodon.

You just need to be able to set a TXT record in DNS, yeah. It took like 2 minutes, but I do IT. I walked someone less techy who owns a domain through it and it took 5 minutes. Very easy.
