New UI looks pretty good! Love putting the artwork this big. #gamedev #indie #chess
#14drl is approaching. i'm not going to have time for a large project, so instead i will create a simple and traditional RL with a major focus on adding more re-usable features and "juice" to my engine. major inspiration from the incredible vid by @vulgat.bsky.social

I'm gonna call it. Bluesky has/will fail because of lack of gif support.

i added ships to the world sim. they are baby ships right now but they'll be /extremely/ cool in a couple days.
they have cargo and are doing a fallback wandering behavior because they don't have route data yet.
Still have this problem where I don't know if people pay no attention to a thing because it's terrible or they pay no attention because that's par.
I can't stop thinking about localthunk showing Balatro to his best friends and getting absolute crickets for months.

My #7DRL #roguelike entry this year has you playing as an 18th century artist who must race against the clock to destroy their own art before it destroys them. It's inspired by the board game #spiritisland, which I have been playing a lot of lately.

Kind of pissed that my game has had steam deck support for THREE YEARS and no verification. Plenty of reviews say it works perfectly.
Meanwhile some games I try with Verified status have major, blocking UX bugs on steam deck.
No, I believe it. I made a stupid tweet.
Let me clarify. I did! The aesthetic looks fine. It's more the strategy... I can't wrap my head around someone who works quietly on multiple projects with no feedback and still chugs along and I jump to suspicion. I hope they do well. I wish I had that resolve.
