Yes, the audio is amazing. I didn't expect it to pick up sounds like that. Camera was about 15 feet away.

It wasn't last night, nothing touched it. I set the camera so the rock was well in view.

A day photo showing three cameras, new in box, they're all by Browning and will be deployed today. The one on the far right, the FHDR camera is already out.

The recon force elite HP5 Ultra and Spec ops elite HP5 ultra are going out today to see how they do. I expect great things.

Squeeee’s for the Bees πŸ˜‚ 🐝🌱 I’m excited to dive into this. Lori is one of the most unyielding champions for native bees around today and her revised book is now available in the US. Get your copy and see what the buzz is all about! β˜ΊοΈπŸ™πŸΌ

I thought so too. They really care so much for their bees.

A honey bee hive with woods, out of focus, in the background. The hive has 7 rows of tiny little Christmas stockings strung across it on one side. The stockings are the typical white top with red main area.

Family in West Virginia have honey bees. This is what they did for Christmas on the hive.
I've always been impressed with the care and attention they give their bees so wasn't too surprised when they sent this photo. πŸ‘ 🐝

The DCL nano cams are great. My main issue is the battery tray, on some of the cameras I find them really difficult to remove. I know you don't want them falling out but I really have to pull hard to get them out and think at times I might damage the tray, but haven't.

Very pleased with the videos, audio is excellent (just listen to that buck eating the plants! 😁). FOV I'm guessing is around 50degrees, gets a good part of the garden πŸ‘ Browning are always on point with their IR illumination, this is no exception.
Will try photos tonight along with HDR.

I just got that one too, will be setting it out this week. Sounds great on paper. I do love the HP5’s for their exceptional video quality. Hope you get yours soon. πŸ‘

Who's up for testing a new camera? Me, I am!

The Browning Strike Force FHDR & Gen 2 night optics.
I have it on video (high) 20 sec w/10 second delay the IR on economy.
Now I just have to hope deer or raccoons come by.
I'll try out all the settings/features over the next few weeks.

A raccoon wearing an orange hi viz vest he’s sitting in the cab of a snowplow. Snow on the ground. The snowplow has its lights on. The raccoon has a very determined look on his little raccoon face.

In other news, it is snowing at the moment (8:10am) we're expecting a few inches if lucky (we really need the moisture).

Yes, essentially all of Colorado is in a snow drought.
Our mountain snowpack is in bad shape this year. It’s been warm and snowstorms have been few and far between. March and April are typically our snow months so we'll have to wait and see if it improves at all. 🀞

We got over an inch of rain total from noon yesterday to early this morning. We don't often get that much rain and I rarely see this 'steam' phenomenon so was happy to catch it on video.

It was 39F & Sunny when I saw this phenomenon, often called 'steaming trees' or 'smoking fences.' It occurs when morning Sun rapidly heats water soaked into surfaces of tree/fence after heavy rain. Heat converts water into vapor, which condenses in cool air & looks like steam/mist.

A black and white night photo of a soggy raccoon as it rained most of last night. The raccoon is in my garden, surrounded by plants and shrubs. There are small landscaping rocks on the ground. The raccoon's fur is wet and clumped into spike looking pieces of fur. It's very unlikely any of this rain penetrated the raccoons thick fur and the raccoon remained nice and warm.

It's time to deploy the weather raccoon.

If your raccoon is soaking wet, it is, or has been, raining - likely heavily. 🌧️

In a surprising weather event, it rained most of last night, it's been ages since we had a good steady rain for hours.

A night black and white photo of a coyote close to my camera in Hartsel, Colorado in 2021. It is laying down with its head to the right of the frame. Its thick, bushy tail is visible as is the black tip. The coyote's mouth is slightly open allowing us to see a few of its teeth. I have a soft spot for coyotes (and wolves) and hate how they are vilified for just being themselves (amazing and intelligent apex predators).

Love the Browning cameras. @browningtrailcams.bsky.social

A small herd of bighorn sheep in an area where the foothills of Colorado meet the prairie. There is some snow in the background and the foreground plants and grasses are a tan to brown color as it was Winter. A rather handsome bighorn sheep is on the right hand side looking towards the camera. We see the South end of North heading bighorn sheep in the other members of the herd. They have white butts and a generally brown coloring overall.
