But if youre looking for something to assign to a class of students its probably unlikely that 20ish people will all be happy with it. You cant really make an action game with it or anything really non-turn-based. And it doesnt natively track variables in an intuitive way.

If its for a personal project, I highly recommend looking into PuzzleScript, depending on what functionality youre missing from Bitsy. Primarily used for sokoban-type puzzle games but capable of much more.
