Every once in a while the Youtube algorithm throws you something genuinely interesting.A creator who's makes hit my #RPG , #Renfair , #Nerd and #sewing interests. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6J4...
I can't say I'm surprised. The thing I find interesting is that someone printed this in a large enough quantity that it was then sold off to a discount store.
I think it's the same one as this. It looks like the Amazon listing has a new cover but is the same otherwise. www.amazon.com/Monster-Roma...
We're solving #1 by sewing a nice soft case that can take patches.
#2 came from someone in one of the sewing subreddits.
Welcome home (PS) Persephone.
And now I'm cutting out fabric for proper cover. The machine had 2 flaws
1. No hard case and we're a sticker all the things household'
2. Brother Innov-is PS700 is a bad name. So what you want about modern Viking machines but they now how to name a product.
I tried a few other machines both Janome and Brother then I sat down at this baby. It was normally way out of my price range and frankly more machine than I'm currently capable of appreciating. But it was so nice to use and I had a recent windfall from selling a knitting machine ...
I'd been looking at the Innov-IS 80 on & off as "When Lily shuffles off this mortal coil purchase" but she's been rock solid until this round of holiday project. The 80 was in my price range and highly rated but it felt really cramped. I just couldn't vibe with the machine.
I took my Viking Lily in for service because the straight stitch isn't changing size. While I left it with the service people just in case, the likely replacement parts are unabtanium. The machine hasn't been made since the mid 1990's.
Everyone meet Persephone my unexpected new sewing machine.
I've tried everything to avoid it. I even own a device from the UK called a Linker and I've come to the conclusions it's either mattress stitch or overlock everything.
@slovenlytrulls.com @itslyssabish.bsky.social This coloring book was at a local discount store today.
I have another 930 e. This one is destined to get an AYAB board. I’m really excited because it comes with 7 garter carriage needles.
We have the small one. 14x29 inches or freedom units as we call them. When I use the mode where it compares the sheet to the imposed PDF it’s really accurate.
If it’s just reading the lead edge of the sheet it’s… ok
Unrelated to knitting machines did I mention that we installed an MGI digital embellishment machine. Foil without a die baby!
£60 for a punch card machine is a very good deal. For an electronic machine it’s an amazing price.
2k of RAM and a floppy drive, peak technology.
I’m a weakling but this silly little needed a home. #machineknitting #knitting

Thanks to everyone who reached out to me with a quote or a link. I wasn't able to use them all because I would still be writing.

I live in an area with a lot of farm stands.
One stand had an Antitrans slogan on the back wall of their stand. Another one had a Smucker(Repub. Rep) sign out during the election.
Now I go to other farm stands.
I have a 2-3 container a week tomato habit during the season. I can buy them elsewhere.
We have an amazing craft/thrift store in Lancaster PA called the Art of Recycle. They'll get a pile of yarn or fabric every few weeks. You have to catch it on the right day, it goes quick.
I’m hoping that Parsons losing the state Senate seat is helping to build enthusiasm.
We need someone to replace Smucker as well.
I've worked in print for over 25 years. I've even produced some small boardgames. We absolutely do not have the equipment to do a lot of the specialized bits people expect in a modern board game.
Even something as simple as a deck of playing cards requires a specialized machine to cut them.
JUST IN: The staff of the Institute of Museum and Library Services was placed on administrative leave this morning, following a meeting between IMLS leadership and DOGE staff.
War gaming get a somewhat deserved reputation for not being inclusive. One towering exception to the stereotype is Battletech. If you love our Trans Brothers and Sisters come join us and punch robots with other robots.

The reason the card on the right has red swirls in the clouds is because the foil binds to the varnish layer. Someone left the foil unit on for the first few sheets.
I have no idea who that could be.
