Hey Canadian Mastodonauts - here's where we're at.
We had some instability the last few days, and it's because the PostgreSQL server (the long term memory for our community) needed more resources.
Giving it more resources means we spend more money, so we went from USD$240 to USD$431/mo. This [β¦]

Academia.edu is getting more and more ludicrous all the time. Latest email from them:
"Hi Anna, the wolf recently confirmed that your paper Birth Narratives in Indo-European Mythology mentions them."
Very coherent and helpful.
I guess I need to unsubscribe from even more of their useless emails [β¦]

I have compiled a list of Ulster Cycle materials, including prose narratives (mostly what is in the Ulidia 1994 list) but also dindshenchas articles, some poems, and items from CΓ³ir Anmann. There were 75 titles on the original Ulidia list, and over 200 here, so I hope that it will help lead [β¦]

We've all heard about #RFKJr 's most recent nonsense: That the use of #Tylenol by pregnant women allegedly causes #autism in their children.
I've also talked how this ties in to older #folklore that encourages #ableism - the #changeling narrative, in particular. Since I've gotten a lot of [β¦]

3/3 I do hope that more people will consider bridging their accounts. It is really nice to be able to communicate with people on other platforms without being locked into to a particular service. It's been a few months now since I bridged my Mastodon account to Bluesky. It's not a perfect system, but I do think it's very worth doing. View of two of U.C.L.A.'s buildings on the Westwood campus, as seen from the bridge. First building in the foreground is Haines Hall. Building was built in 1928 and designed by George W. Kelham. The twin towers of Royce Hall are seen in the background. This building was built in 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. Both buildings were constructed in a northern Italian Romanesque Revival style, inspired by Sant' Ambrogio in Milan (12th century). The Physics Building and Library are on the right. This approach is from Hilgard Avenue.

They are both at times portrayed as scheming and deceitful, but they fit well together and accept each other. Until they don't. The one relationship that Ailill can't seem to get past is Medb's affair with Fergus, and it leads to Fergus' death. When Ailill is later carrying on an affair of his [β¦]
