I would be totally fine seeing college lacrosse start later in the winter/spring and the easy way to do it is for teams to play more local midweek games.
That approach worked for decades, and it could still work well today.

I understand getting cards as a kid and maybe putting them in the spokes of your bike to make the whippa-whippa noise but spending thousands on a card as an adult does seem… a trifle sad. There have to be better ways to find joy.
