Normalize planning for days with absolutely no tasks or plans this year. To simply go with the flow of what feels right and where your spirit leads you in the present. Whether that’s getting outdoors, being playful with your kids or getting lost in a book. Your soul will thank you ❤️
So much of my thought process lately has been, will this have mattered at the end of my life.
The awareness of death saves us by spurring us into a higher existence of living.
Empathy doesn’t come from just the idea of putting myself in someone shoes, but because I’ve let go of the “specialness myth” that what unexpectedly happens to others couldn’t happen to me. I understand that it could. So it feels real. And because it feels real, I empathize.
Totally. Death and salvation are the highest stakes. There’s too much psychological safety tied into it.
Unpopular opinion: Death anxiety is at the deepest core of why people are both too defensive and too afraid to deconstruct their fundamentalist beliefs.
If you’re looking for a cure to your existential crisis I highly recommend a puppy. 🥹❤️

We need to talk more about the infantilization of high-control religious groups. Telling full grown adults what not to watch, what to listen to, what decisions to make like children. Instead of autonomous adults with the freedom of responsibility to make their own choices. It’s arrested development.
More like opportunists who will say what the people in their party want to hear without actually believing or living by it themselves.
