Wins for the week:

Slowing my running pace has basically unlocked my running. Ran for nearly 30 minutes, up from 12 last week!

I think I’ve figured out omelettes. I’ve always been a more than decent cook, with a lot of versatility and recipes, but omelettes always turn into scrambles.

If these two dumb fucks don’t end up together I will not be continuing this show. (It’s Kate and the Viscount).

I am watching Bridgerton for the first time. What fun!

I really need to start documenting the horrible things my coworkers and boss say.

The middle-aged urge to scream “GET HELP” at your parents whose mental illness is so ingrained that they don’t realize there’s anything unusual about their mental processes.

So, the current Astrophotography project is still in progress, but some older photos that finally got edited are in. They are beyond rad. Space is fucking rad.

Another ASKC star party! I love that they do public nights at Powell Observatory, located in Louisburg, because now I bring my iPad and can give people some cool live image stacks to look at. I’m their tour guide to the stars, -ars, -ars, -ars…!

Also, twenty-seven minutes of the Cotton Eyed Joe dance remix.

sequential single lines of songs followed by hummed lyrics, coffee shop white noise, and a whispering voice to k*ll yourself. All on loop at max volume.

At my funeral I want someone to announce that I made an audio soundtrack to play during the entire thing, to show what it’s like in my head.

I hate to even come close to a compliment for as massive a POS as ZuckTheFuck is, but I can’t delete FB entirely bc I buy things on Marketplace sometimes. It’s so dumb.

#ASKC Star party for the public! Got to watch a cool presentation by an Astrophysicist from a university in Missouri, got to finally look through the Ruisinger community telescope, and buddies got some good shots (hopefully) of Andromeda!

Deez nuts, indeed. My roommate asked me what I put in the description and I said "fight the fascists and I'll consider coming back." He laughed and made special effort to clarify that I would likely never have a streaming service again. He is correct. I'm either reading from now on or yo-ho-ho-ing.

I told my group when I returned and I felt like when you’re watching a TV show and they do a side adventure episode where the B-plot is the A-plot for the whole episode.

Then, an old woman mistook me for her grandson, & bought me ice cream as a thank you for helping locate them, which only took seconds, but I’m not turning down free ice cream. Then I got to give my spare disposable ear plugs to a youth + her little bro bc they were the only ones covering their ears.

I even had my own little weirdo side adventure. I left my group to wash sunscreen out of my eyes. While near the roughly 17 story observation deck someone asked if I would go up with them bc they were scared. When I came back down, a couple had me help them take phone pics… engagement phone pics…!

I did not get good pictures of stuff at WEC, but I had a great time along with tons of merch. In the Hypercar class, the Valkyrie’s high pitched whine can be heard from around the track, and the Cadillac rumble vibrated the stands. Glad Toyota GR did pretty well, as did the Ferrari’s.

In Austin, TX for FIA World Endurance 😄😄 So stoked
