Me: rearranges the exact same food on another plate
Dog: a masterpiece of culinary delight, I will eat this in one sitting & whine for more for the next 4 hours.
I think Im actually having economic anxiety.. like the real kind.. it’s been a while. the covid years after Mom died was 5-6 years ago. We got down to 39 students that year. I had forgotten the joy of latenight stressing about losing everything bc of DJT & GOP madness.

Meanwhile the arts take in millions of $$ in STL. RAC does so much including leadership programs, actual support for small orgs & individual artists.. and if no one goes to art shows, how come the STL Art museum has a shuttle for Art in Bloom bc so many people go to it? gtfoh leave RAC alone smdh.

Happy midweek friends. So far today I slept well, had a nice morning class, saw my friend Syd, took a nice nap, grabbing a matcha before my evening shift of classes. The way this timeline of unhinged madness makes me grateful for an uneventful Wednesday cannot be measured. ✌🏼✨🫶🏼

It’s that wonderful time of the year known as the cats of Ramadan on tiktok. Folks getting up early to eat before the sunrise & their cats are like wtf? It is so adorable. Some cats even have their own little itty bitty prayer rugs.
IBS trying to take me out this morning, I have no clue what I ate that set it off at 6am. Horrible pain. Took a Bentyl which helped w pain but knocked me out. Slept thru my StepDad calling at 11am needing a ride bc he didn’t believe me that you cant drive when your eyes are dilated. He made it home.
Update: This cone has in fact, been on for one week. The wound is healing. The trying to scratch seems to be calming down. Fingers crossed we are getting past this.

my cat got out of her fucking cone while I was at work & scratched the entire healing part completely off the side of her face. It was nearly healed up. Blood all
over her. I am so upset. I cleaned her up, got some meds on the sore, tightened the cone, gave her a prednisone.. god dammmmmmmmmmmit.
My animals have had me so stressed out the past few weeks: Cat has a wound from scratching her ear that is not healing well, dog was diagnosed with low glucose issue, and yesterday I was not ok. I finally fell asleep around 5am & I SLEPT slept. Feeling better today.
Just got word my former colleague from wash U, Henry Claude, has passed. He was a remarkable percussionist, led the studio musicians in dance at wash u, played for my ballet class, played for the SLSO for years, A one in a million person. Rest well Henry. You will be missed.

Day 3 of the cone on the cat. She keeps trying to scratch her bad ear & it doesn’t work. I think she keeps scratching off the scab as it heals & gets itchy. She is so frustrated, bless her heart.
No one works as hard as Jeff & his wife at Everything Auto in Gatlinburg TN. He is doing a live on YouTube in a snowstorm, driving around looking for cars he can help get out of ditches & winching cars off the side of mountains like it is nothing.

My cat has been scratching her ear for 2 months. I have tried everything including 2 vet visits, tape on her back paw, meds.. I just caved & put a cone on her. Now she is having a really bad day bc she hates the cone AND cant reach her ear to scratch it. prayers for my sweet Jane.
