This one took ~42 hours
That's great! If you don't commit to doing a long session right away, it's easier to start
How I made my drawing habit addictive:
1. Find a habit you already can't skip, even a bad one.
2. Ask yourself why you can't skip it.
3. Do the same thing in your drawing routine.
I track every gym session to watch numbers go up, so I started doing the same for drawing hours.
Thanks! Also why do you need to blend them, I think they can co-exist if the base of the tail is small enough

Giving advice without showing doesn’t work.
I started on here by posting advice that I’ve heard others say. No one cared.
Then I started posting studies, showing myself applying the advice. Now they care.
If you want to teach something, SHOW it.
That's awesome, don't put them away for too long!
Yeah!! They are still hard for me, I'm supposed to be good at art by now but I spent like 8 hours to figure these out
Really happy to hear, thanks for reading ❤️

There are two reasons you can't get yourself to draw:
1. It's too easy (boring)
2. It's too hard (frustrating)
If it’s boring, draw something challenging.
If it’s frustrating, draw something just outside your comfort zone.
Push it too far either way and you burn out.
Thank you!

How I do anatomy studies:
1. Pick one area you struggle with.
2. Gather more references than you think you need.
3. Try copying them, but without tracing.
4. Then try from memory or a different angle.
That’s how learning actually works. I wish someone told me that years ago.

Your algorithm shapes your interests, your interests shape your actions.
So curate the algorithm, make sure you always have great art in your feed.
Get used to pressing the “Not interested” button. Make sure you follow great artists.

There are two types of pain:
1. Sitting down and drawing hands until you get better at them
2. Realizing that you haven’t improved in 3 years
Every excuse avoids the first one, but all of them guarantee the second.
Pick your pain. One way or another, you're going to feel it.

I made a sketch I loved → it got 186 likes → I felt like failure
Now before I start, I ask: "Who is this for?":
1. Followers - does it help them?
2. Clients - does it show my skill?
3. Me - was it fun to make?
If it's meant just for you, don't measure it with engagement.
