I need every single male artist that follows me to read this. It's not very long. You need to bear witness to this shit. You have to see it with your own eyes because you never will in your everyday life.
I'm serious, read it all please
AI-created art isn't eligible for copyright protection, after the Supreme Court chose not to review a lower court ruling.
In 2022 the Copyright Office said images without βhuman authorship,β don't qualify for copyright protection β this was affirmed in 2023 by a district court.
The top 1% in America now hoard $55.8 trillion β more than the G.D.P. of the United States and China combined.
Silicon Valleyβs alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we canβt depend on US tech companies.
For the past few months, Iβve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
I say this as a professional who came up from fan translation and has friends at Sega who will likely never get to work on this officially: when you fan translate ANYTHING that was previously untranslated, you have a deep, heavy responsibility in setting people's first and typically only impression.
Elon Musk is onboard btw.
I don't think people understand that this is quite literally about being able to build devices that kill without human oversight.
Upvote this.
"Nazis were just regular people" is not a statement meant to evoke empathy or to excuse their crimes. It is a statement of warning.
The capacity to be part of and perpetrate atrocities is not limited to "monsters," it is wholly human. It is what we must always be aware of.
To paraphrase a friend: stay on the path, make good things. Indie has always flourished in the face of AAA distraction. Times are bad, but let others deskill, pivot to nonsense or chase impossible outcomes. People really like playing videogames. Suits forget that every 6 months or so.

There are so many reasons these days where Iβm feeling like this focus on generative AI might be one of the worst mistakes in recent human history. Whatever perceived value it could provide isnβt worth the damage itβs doing in so many areas.
According to a study from the National Alliance to End Homelessness, it would cost the government an additional $9.6 billion per year to end homelessness in the US by providing Rapid Re-Housing / Permanent Supportive Housing to individuals in shelters.
But sure, this is better.
I hate centrists so much dawg.
"Different beliefs" bro some of these people's "beliefs" include the deportation and deaths of people like me.
I always hated that shit man. Different opinions should be shit like "I like chicken instead of beef", not "I think brown people shouldn't have rights"
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.
people who say that all creative endeavor can be replaced with AI probably need to reckon with the fact that all televised sports events with human athletes could easily be replicated by high-definition computer-animated simulationsβ¦.and yet we donβt do this and no one seems to want to.
"You raise your voice, I erase your voice."
ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

hey everybody lifelong tech expert here
> "system crashβ deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility
that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
Hey, if you need a reason to not support any upcoming Earthworm Jim stuff.....you can go on X, The Torment App and see the creator Doug TenNapel talk about how great AI is and quote tweeting everyone who disagrees.
I wouldn't suggest it though.

CONTINUE TELLING EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT AI IS THE STUPIDEST SHIT EVER
IT IS WORKING

CONTINUE TO WRITE THINGS THAT INSPIRE YOU
THE WHOLE POINT OF BEING ALIVE IS TO CREATE COOL SHIT
AI STRIPS US OF THE POINT OF BEING HUMAN
"AI is the asbestos in the walls of our technological society, stuffed there with wild abandon by a finance sector and tech monopolists run amok."
Fantastic article by Cory Doctorow that highlights what exactly Big Tech wants from forcing 'AI' into everything.

It exposes directional alignment; you still seek to limit, not expand, who is allowed to be human. Yes, you have set your limitation more inclusively than our fascist gang of white supremacists; it doesn't mean you're not also setting limitations & they'll use your limit as long as it serves them.
Would love to speak to any regular international GDC attendees who are skipping this year's show (or were going to attend and have now cancelled) due to the current political climate. DMs here or luke@aftermath.site, thank you!
Sure, I can give that a go. Do we have an existing design, or any general guidelines around what we'd want?
This blindfolded Majora's Mask run was so impressive. Compelled me to throw together a quick pixel-art MM.
This is simply not technically possible. You cannot generate enough writing in-house to train an LLM. You cannot generate enough art in-house to train a GAN. People who think they have a model "trained on our own material" are using a base model of mass-scraped data, unknowingly or disingenuously.
ONE. MILLION. HYPE.
Thank you for helping us hit that milestone for @preventcancer.org! Onward to $2 million! #AGDQ2026
I'm glad to see this pressure on Google and Apple. If any other company was running an active CSAM generator in public you better believe it would have been removed from their app stores by now www.wired.com/story/x-grok...
Look up X on the App Store, scroll down to Report a Problem and fill out the form with this information.
