Eeyore Aggers' dreary, anti-England, Aussie-worshipping, miserable, hindsight style of cricket commentary is even more annoying than Farage-soundalike, Surrey-mad Norcross. He is bloody delighted that Duckett is out.

If England played like Australia, the Brisbane day-night test would be destined to end in a very tedious draw. But that is what Eeyore Aggers seems to want. He bloody hates England trying to win. In fact the whole TMS team seem to yearn for a draw, desperately hoping for rain to ruin the game. Poor.
Harsh. He was very pro-active in encouraging Israel's genocide in Gaza, via his war criminal chum Netanyahu. And he has done his best to give big chunks of Ukraine away. Give him credit for some things.

A winter-plumaged Knot, with Gadwalls
I found a Knot in the misery and drizzle this morning, at Deeping Lakes LWT, Lincs (seems typical weather for these scarce inland wanderers to drop in around the Peterborough area). A year tick for me, I think it is the first we have had locally, this year. @lincsbirding.bsky.social
Very nice, Mark.
At Deeping Lakes LWT, Lincs, this morning I heard the 'gok gok gok gok' call of Bittern and prepared to walk from the east screen of the east pit to see if I could see it. Then I realised it had come out onto one of the nearby islands. Unfortunately, it also saw me... Check out the huge claws!
Obviously she should be stripped of peerage, stripped of her assets and jailed, possibly for causing loss of lives in addition to the obscene fraud.

Got some more shots of the Etton, Cambs, Lesser Yellowlegs, today. Nice to meet former Peterborough birder @markgferris.bsky.social for some great photo action. For more pics, see my blog: weedworld.blogspot.com @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social @justwildimages.bsky.social @paolobolton.bsky.social
Thanks for that Mark. Grab a feather for DNA!
How do you tell it from atlantis, Mark?

In flight with a Greenshank was nice, also Common Sand & Dunlin.
2 or 3 Wheatears were peachey.
2 Red Kites & a Raven mobbing a Sprawk circled together.
Trip was a piece of cake & the bird was sublime.
Good to meet Mr Weedon

Whilst watching a Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton Pits in Cambridgeshire yesterday afternoon (found by Hugh Wright), this Grey Phalarope dropped in. Stayed for c10 mins and then disappeared. We were pretty surprised! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social @weedonsworld.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social
An autumnal scene at Deeping Lakes LWT, Lincs. Young Marsh Harrier.
Farage and the right medium flipping loves the 'working class' though, the wife-beating scummy ones who riot, hang up flags which substitute for swastikas. Not the educated ones who use their brains.
Viking ED Pro 80mm, Velbon tripod head and Manfrotto tripod
Will be @ @spurnbirdobs.bsky.social for Migfest this weekend and would like to giveaway my old scope and tripod. If there's any young birders looking for a used but well loved scope that's seen plenty of rare birds please either point them in my direction or come find me over the weekend! #ukbirding

Thank you

Classic early autumn scene for the Peterborough area: female Redstart in a Hawthorn bush. Near Markey Deeping, Lincs, this morning (a bird I found yesterday morning, but was still there today). @lincsbirding.bsky.social
Lightly tatty Clouded Yellow butterfly resting on dry mud in a flower meadow
One of perhaps half a dozen Clouded Yellows whizzing around the meadows near Milton Airstrip, near Ailsworth, Cambs this lunchtime (also a female Redstart and at least one Whinchat seen). It had become cloudy, and this butterfly was trying to catch some rays to warm up before another feed.

Lino block with purply ink on roller
I think these curlew #linocut prints are done. I just added a layer of a slightly darker pinky-purply-brown, and theyβre looking good! I wasnβt sure if Iβd need a final dark layer on the curlew but I think it works well without it. Now I just need to wait for them to dryβ¦
I spent many hours waiting for a Purple Heron to appear at March Farmers (Nene Washes), on Saturday. No show. Had a few nice Bittern fly-bys though. This is the best I could come up with. @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
