Flew from PHX to SJC on Southwest today, and before it's no longer a thing, I did a same-day standby for free on their lowest-price fare. Sure, I got C-group, but I had my pick of ANY middle seat, which was fine as i was flying solo. Got home 3hrs early. I'll be sad to see this perk go shortly...

At my kid's school-orchestra performance last night, when a parent took the mic for a NPC-dialogue speech of sorts and referred to the "ditty" that we just heard, my other kid thought she was referring to "(P)Diddy." Also: same parent totally lost aura by referencing her own loss of aura. 😂
