They want to know if there is a market for your work. It is the only time I use AI. Then I read those suggestions to see if it fits. If it does I ask AI for others along that line.

How is your book unique but just like others recently published? Yeah, I hate this.

I have submitted queries for too long with no one interested enough to ask for a full review. It is a good story and worth a read, but my query is not enough to grab anyone's attention. Is self-publishing giving up or just taking the next step?

After teaching for over 30 years and asking students how they should make ethical choices, I wrote a book to try to answer my own questions. It is a Socratic dialogue among friends that takes place around a fire pit since that is where the best conversations take place.

I began with short stories about the patients I met and the difficult issues they faced. It was cathartic. Later, I used creative writing to explore bigger issues, like whether there are limits to scientific inquiry. I used Shelley's Frankenstein to explore modern issues.
