This study reports on the antiparasitic profiles of batzelladines F and L, which exhibited strong antiplasmodial activity, moderate cytotoxicity, and good selectivity indexes. Both compounds act quickly against resistant and clinical isolates of P. falciparum, with batzelladine F also showing in vivo activity in a P. berghei model. These findings support the development of guanidine alkaloid derivatives as promising candidates for malaria treatment. View the article.
The latest issue of ACS ID is out! We have articles spanning Mycobacteria, Fungai, MDR bacteria such as A. baumannii, P. aeruginosa, S. Typhimurium, etc. They cover areas like molecular mechanisms, immunomodulatory strategies, diagnostics, etc. pubs.acs.org/toc/aidcbc/1... #ACSInfectiousDiseases
