I recently met a retired broker (55) who seemed proud that he was involved in the meltdown. Telling me about how he sat next to so and so who was featured in some movie, showing pics of him at trump jrs wedding, etc. I just couldn't get how someone could be proud of all that. It was surreal.

An update.
I enjoyed the gimlets at the power hour, but it turns out that when I haven't had any drinks before hand I'm not as much of a fan.
Today's realization:
My social batteries are coin batteries.
I can handle a couple hours and then I need to find a corner to refresh.
Long week and my eyes are tired, but the first time I read that I saw rower instead of flower. Still works.
Well except for the rest of the sentence.
I wish I was more surprised... or at all surprised.
Give them to people who are under-represented or marginalized. They need someplace where there is still a possibility of moderation.
And for the first time ever I mutter...
Don't threaten us with a good time.
I'm trying to find everyone I follow there (and want to continue following), here and that will keep me in both places a little longer.
If you can't find that in your area let me know.
