The Ann Arbor real estate scene in a nutshell: "We really wanted to make this a home for anyone" is the quote from MLive. Should come with "pause the plan" yard signage.

Screenshot from a city of Ann Arbor update: STATUS UPDATE: Unfortunately, power is out at City Hall currently. Our estimate is that power will be restored by 5:15 p.m., in advance of this evening's scheduled Planning Commission Meeting. If power is restored shortly before the scheduled 5:30 meeting time, there could be a short delay in beginning the meeting. If power is not restored by 5:30, the meeting will be cancelled.
Thanks to @dteenergy.bsky.social for helping #a2council pause the plan.
This may be the worst piece of reporting I've ever seen from Michigan Advance. Mostly devoted to a tophat-clad landlord with millions of dollars of real estate and a retiree who spends his days opposing sidewalks. A casual mention at the end that not everyone thinks this way cosplaying as balance.
I heard last night that it's very important we don't change Water Hill because it used to be a majority black neighborhood, so changing it would be racist!
Good thing they got that "vote no on A & B" sign! Otherwise I wouldn't be sure what their other "vote no on A & B" sign meant!
A second hint for our #pausetheplan guessing game: here's their new #AnnArbor Pause the Plansion. A modest 3,000 sq ft 5 bedroom home less than a mile from fraternity row!
๐จ DEAL ALERT! ๐จ
This Pause the Plansion comes brand new, in the box! This rare 7-figure gem is truly a collector's item for anyone who hates #a2council and the poors.
Her family has lived here for 150 years. Ann Arbor used to be a lovely city. She has grave concerns about the effect of the have-nots moving in and affecting her property values.
People of #a2council public comment
The concerned citizen who left her Pause-the-Plansion to voice her grave reservations:
New #a2council guessing game! Guess which Plan Pauser who complains about students sold their house to a student last year and moved to a $1.8 million Pause the Plansion last year?
Hint: this person also owns a house near Holland with a 4 story elevator.
Burns Park has more Pause the Plansion density per square mile, but Ann Arbor Hills has more per capita.
This Pause the Plansion is getting a $14,000 annual discount on their property tax.
Does your multimillion dollar house have a moat? Do you hate #a2council? If you answered yes to both, submit a photo of your home to be featured on pausetheplansions.com today!
Why would someone in Ann Arbor want a fake moat and drawbridge?
