Wrap up Warm this winter with Johnny Briggs – his only single released in 1983
Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart's crowning vinyl achievement/ego-fuelled vanity project (depending on your point of view) which sees everyone's favourite DJ conducting and singing along with a full children's choir. Dare you enter – The World Of Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart
Dennis Waterman – So Good For You
A whole LP's worth of top tunes, first released in 1980 at the height of Mindermania, and then again in 1981 on budget label Music For Pleasure.
This was among a load of singles that came in to wRECk Records. Sadly, the disc was scratched and the picture cover, which I had never seen before, was drawn over.
Jim Davidson – Maggie
Sadly his one great love Mrs Thatcher died without ever once reciprocating Jim's deep carnal lust...
Orange album cover
I picked up a celebrity football programme thing a couple of years back at the midweek boot sale. It's signed 'Fancy Smith' which I assume to be Brian as he was playing in the match.
It must be awful for you.
A 1981 radioplay written by Rory McGrath, featuring the vocal talents of Andrew Sachs, Chrissy Roberts, Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith, - Glompus Van De Hloed's Tales From The Crypt
From 1981, The Original London Cast Recording of Anyone For Denis?
Starring John Wells as Denis Thatcher and Angela Thorne as Margaret Thatcher
Thought that looked an awful lot like an early Cliff comp there. Guess it done like that on purpose.
See. Two HUGE markets cattered for there
Terry-Thomas – His sole 7 inch single issued in 1956, A Sweet Old-Fashioned Boy / Lay Down Your Arms
Why aren't Cherry Red doing box sets from Dora and the like?
The definitive Volare – Charlie Drake. Originally written and sung by Italian Domenico Modugno, it became a huge hit around the world after the Eurovision Song Contest in March 1958. A multitude of cover versions followed and Charlie's version reached number 28 in the UK charts in October.
I don't think I've ever seen a more seventies bit of television. Bob Langley on Pebble Mill at One reporting from the Birmingham NEC. He's lounging on a garden chair smoking a cigarillo and interviewing the 'dolly birds', the first of whom shows off her bra.
#weekendsingles trip to wRECk Records in Haverhill this afternoon.
Popped into my head earlier when my Dad had the One Show on and there was a feature on a new film of Wuthering Heights.
Confessions of a Night Nurse from 1974. Written by Confessions of a Window Cleaner author Christopher Wood (under the pseudonym Rosie Dixon). Filmed in 1978 as Rosie Dixon - Night Nurse. Innocent trainee nurse Rosie Dixon attempts (and fails on several occasions) to hang onto her virginity.
3" vinyl for Stones
Les Dawson – born this day 1931
A BBC Transcription disc for Holiday Laughalong starring Les Dawson and Roy Castle - originally broadcast 1983 and worth listening to for that closing punchline alone!
Edward Woodward – His 1970 debut solo album This Man Alone
Want to feel old? This is what David Walliams and Matt Lucas look like today.
Gorilla by The Bonzo Dog (Doo-Dah) Band
Pretty much a definite for my top 5. A record I’ve loved since I heard it at Dean Spruce’s house when we were 16 (and understood none of the references)

Picked up what appears to be an unplayed, well it was then, copy of the BBC version at the midweek boot sale for £2. It was a dealer feller as well.
Don't bother. I bought this because it contains Orville's Song, which you never see on CD. Played it and it's a very poor vinyl rip complete with hissing throughout
Ken Goodwin – Fun and hilarity from the intensive care ward!
The calendars are among the many Cliff items that I wont buy. The size and fact they've been going since 1982 is the main issue. Another thing I wont buy is the enamelled pill box that originally cost £50
I feel she was born too late to be her true self
She’d have been a great asset to FACT or Trading Standards
Sniffing out Pirate Copies of Star Wars, Last House on the Left or Jungle Burger
The nose can smell Metal Particle or Chrome Dioxide at 50 yards. Fuji Mould is a speciality
