It's illegal to accidentally drive over a bus lane, but these freaks can gloat about destroying our futures, freedoms, and humanity openly, and we're not even allowed to lynch them in the streets.

focusing on skill doesn't make your art better or make you like your art more. the most miserable self-loathing artists are often the most professionally skilled.

what makes you like your art is whether you actually like it, it's that simple. and if you don't like it, make something you will.

fr fr. I'm constantly told I'm a drama mongerer because I just tell people to back off and fuck off if they cross boundaries in front of me. which is fine because it tells me the community is poison and they can all be miserable together and I can peace out.

meanwhile a parade of mods DM'd me to apologize bc there's a History. turns out I was the only person willing to tell them to their face they are a problem but everyone was bending backwards to placate their tantrums. Mods had no good answer why they didn't kick the loser. enablers are everywhere.

rhe last time I was in a discord server someone was ranting about how they hate themselves because no one patted their asses enough, I told them to go cry about it, they lost their minds and I was basically told I was partially the problem for not being sympathetic enough. I tapped out after that.

I see it happen all the time NOW. It's also kind of incredible how narcissistic behaviors are enabled if you can capitalize on sympathy well enough.

keep in mind there's nothing wrong with asking for affirmation or comfort or reassurance but if you think that's the same thing as peformative self-deprecation then that isn't what you're asking for

you aren't keeping yourself humble by putting yourself or your work down, you're making it everyone else's problem to make you feel valuable

humility is the awareness of recognizing you aren't the center of reality and to never forget the importance or contributions of others

meanwhile the line between self loathing and narcissism is microscopic because it is very literally opposite of humility to have the world service your self pity

so many people need to be told that self loathing isn't humility

grumpiness is such a handicap when drawing because all my patience for the process evaporates and I start taking my canvas not respecting me extremely personally

starting to feel less grumpy finally. I don't have to keep telling myself to take a nap to avoid tantruming like a toddler.

I'm barely starting to feel functional again but at least for me it'll be the last time I have to suffer, I wish the same liberation for everyone else
