A Few Claude Skills for R Users โ€“ R Works The community has come together to create some great Claude Skills that you can try out today.

I rounded up a few Claude Skills for #RStats users.

Huge thanks to the creators who developed them. They share Skills for everything from tidyverse code to brand.yml files to learning while using AI.

Hope the list is useful, and please let me know what I missed! ๐Ÿงก

Graph of award probability of R35 and R01 from NIH factbook as a function of review rank percentile. As is apparent, 2025 is a significant departure, with lower award probabilities at all scores <40 and significant departures from norm, where even being in the top 10% is no longer a nearly certain indicator of success.

The data is in: the NIH goalposts have shifted.

What were once almost certain fundable scores have become coin flips and what used to be likely grants have become aspirational, leading to fewer awards.

Another manifestation of how HHS policies have led to fewer awards and less science.

The real insanity isnโ€™t how much oil prices have spiked, itโ€™s that weโ€™re still burning oil for energy.

Good article, but the framing is wrong. There is not a dearth of interest in taxonomy. There is a scarcity of funding and positions, which is a deliberate choice by funding agencies and institutions. The youth love taxonomy! It's the olds that are failing to meet their passion!
